This Is a Normal Story!

Kio paused, wondering if it was such a good idea to be going outside alone with little to no protection. He then sighed, finally convincing himself to go out alone. After all, why would he wish to be a bother to his friends?

Kio sighed, turning on the flashlight and looking around. It'll only be a few minutes...can't be long...yeah definitely not long...

Kio shivered, hugging himself tightly. Kind of cold outside without a jacket, especially in the middle of the night.

"SNAP"

"WAHH-!!"

Kio jumped back, his heart racing. What was that? Maybe an animal? Or a-

No...No it can't be a person! Him, Lio, and Kima were the only ones in the woods...right-?

Well, there were the others but...But Kio had just thought that they had just made it back home. Certainly they wouldn't go and try to scare Kio....right?

Meh. Either way, Kio still had to find out what that noise was. So, he did the most obvious thing anyone in a normal and totally not horror story would do anddddd...

Went to investigate!

Kio made sure his flashlight had enough battery before venturing off into the forest, trying to keep the only source of light for many...many miles close to him. It probably would've been best to wake up one of the others...

No. Kima would just pity me for being scared and Lio would tease me, not to mention if it was nothing after all. I already look like an idiot to them. Why should I have to make it worse for myself? God...I'm overthinking again...it was probably just a squirrel or 2 fighting over an acorn...Yeah...just a normal little harmless squirrel. Nothing scary or anything-

"SNAP"

OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY NOT A SQUIRREL. SQUIRRELS AREN'T THAF LOUD. I CANT DO THIS. IM GOING BACK!!

And that's what he did. Kio quickly ran back towards the camp, panting heavily by the time he got there. He collapsed in his sleeping bag in the tent, shutting his flashlight off. Whatever it was, it was still out there. And was he going to look for it? Hell no!!

By the time Kio woke up, the others were...still asleep.

Lazy ass bitches....

Kio yawned, crawling out of the tent as he looked up at the sky.

Wait- what the fuck-

Now, it could be one of 2 things. Kio is either going insane or it's still dark. Most likely the first option, but just to be sure...

Kio rubbed his eyes and blinked for a minute before looking back up. Sure enough, it was still dark.

What the hell?! Do I just have a shitty sleep schedule?!

No...that couldn't be it. Kima and Lio wouldn't have just let him sleep through the day. Plus, they were all eager to get out of this weird hell of a forest. They wouldn't just say "Oh yeahhh we can let him sleep and just stay here for an extra day!!"

Especially not Lio. He might not show it, but he might be the most eager of all of them to escape this forest. Kima and Kio, well of course they wanted to escape, but the effects of the forest and being trapped really seemed to affect Lio more than anyone.

It's not that Lio is a city boy- he just doesn't have the most...brains or sanity out of the 3. The forest could definitely be effecting him more than anyone since he's already a dumb fuck.

Whatever the reason, Kio had to wake the others up...
