This Isn't a Normal Story

"AKIIIIIIIIIIII!!"

Akihito groaned, turning around to face Chiro.

"What?! Did you accidentally eat dirt or something?!"

Chiro groaned, clutching his leg.

"NOoOoOooo!! My ankle hurtsssssss!!"

"Ughhh...Just walk it off. You'll be fine."

Akihito continued to walk, but Chiro continued to whine.

Akihito-- or, Aki, for short-- was Chiro's boy friend. No-- (boy)friend. Friend that is a boy. Nothing more. Nothing less. Aki and Chiro have been friends since they were born. But somehow they managed to be polar opposites. Akihito was more serious, on task, go-getter, and determined. Chiro was an all over the place crybaby and overreacting idiot.

Just bound to being friends, hm?

Aki and Chiro had 3 other friends-- Kio, Lio, and Kima. But you know that story. Getting lost in the woods and eventually being separated. But Aki suspected something much bigger was going on. The constant darkness, the random snaps of twigs, everything would lead up to something. But what? That was the question Akihito would be trying to solve on his-

"AKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!"

Akihito grumbled, glaring over at Chiro.

"WHAT."

"My leg still hurts...but specifically my ankleeeeeeee...."

"And? What the hell do you want me to do about it?"

Chiro smiled.

"Carry me~?"

"No."

Akihito continued to walk, but kept a steady pace. He didn't like to deal with Chiro's bullshit, but why leave him if Chiro was the only other person he knew he could find in these hellish woods?

"But Aki...Can we at least rest then? Pleeeeeeeeeeeease~?"

"...five minutes."

Chiro's face lit up and he immediately sat down, laying across a fallen log. Akihito rolled his eyes, but sat by Chiro anyways.

"Hey Akiiiiiiiiiii~"

"My name is Akihito."

"Too much of a mouthful!!"

Chiro grinned, leaning on Akihito.

"Off."

"Why?"

"Because you're obnoxious."

"Come on Akiiiiiii!! I'm in pain~"

Chiro dramatically collapsed onto Aikihito's lap, making an ever so dramatic pose.

"Off. Now. Or I'm leaving you for the forest."

"You wouldn't~"

"You're right. I need you for bait if something bad happens to try and kill me."

"Tch. Meanie..."

"Sometimes I question if you're fourteen or four."

Chiro grinned again. That annoyed the hell out of Akihito, though it felt good to see that someone was still able to find humor in a serious situation.

"Yeah. Cause a four year old is definitely able to have a gigantic vocabulary."

"You're annoying."

"And you're my hero~"

Akihito growled, hitting the back of Chiro's head.

"If you have enough strength to talk stupid then you have enough strength to walk."

"Ow- But it still hurts!!

"How?! You only tripped!!"

"Yeah but it still hurts..."

Chiro whined, hugging onto Aki.

"OFF!!"

"NO!!"

"YES!!"

"NO!!'

"YE-"

"I say he should get off~"

Akihito sighed, turning around.

"Well thank y- wait..."

Akihito looked up, only to be face to face with-- darkness? No, this couldn't be right. It's just-- Dark! A large shadow stood behind Aki and Chiro. Akihito quickly got up, picked Chiro up, and began to run as fast as he could. Chiro clung to Akihito tightly, trembling slightly.

What the hell was that?! Why the hell could it talk?! Fuck...Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck...Gotta run!! Run God dammit!!

Akihito ran until he was out of breath, panting. He looked up from the ground, only to he face to face with a massive cave.

"...hey Aki"

Akihito jumped. He had forgotten all about Chiro.

"Wh-What?"

"You can put me down now"

Aki went slightly red before he set Chiro down on the ground. Chiro seemed completely fine.

Jackass...probably faked the ankle thing just for special treatment...

"I say we adventure inside!!"

"WHAT?!"

"Yup!! Come on, Aki!!"

Before he could protest, Akihito was being pulled into the cave with Chiro.
