Yes, I'm a fashionista

The next day was calm. I met Ochaco on the bus again- apparently she only lives two streets away from my neighborhood. Naturally, this realization came with immediate plans to meet up at the park or a local shop to hang out.

The school day was simple, with a lot of normal classes. English, Japanese, Math, Science, the works.

And then, the single best- or worst- period in the entire school. Lunch.

Lunch was great when you can spare the pocket money for it.

I think the rest of that sentence is self explanatory.

Thankfully, my power-sister was in the exact same scenario, so we decided, 'screw it, we can spare the cash.'

And so we got food.

And stars above, was I glad we did. Ochaco, ever the saint, invited me to sit down with Midoriya and Iida.

"Thank God for you guys, it would have sucked to eat alone." I chuckled, sitting down, "seriously."

"It's no problem, L/n! You would've done the same for us. Besides, this'll give us a good chance to really get to know one another."

Midoriya smiled, digging into his lunch. "That's a great point, Iida." I tilted your head a little. Midoriya seemed... a little bit too happy. Judging by the way he nervously- and incredibly awkwardly- pelted us with questions about ourselves, he probably didn't have many friends before.

But honestly, I've never had more fun.

"Pppffft- what!?" I nearly choked on my rice and whipped my head around to stare incredulously at Iida, who was smiling proudly. "Your bro's Engenium?! Like, Pro-Hero Engenium? No way!"

"That's right!" Iida set a confident fist on his hip, "As the second Iida son, I hope to live up to the standard my brother has set as a true hero of this world."

"That's super cool."

"W-why do you want to be a hero, L/n-san?" Midoriya asked.

"I told you, call me Y/n! And, well, the reason's sorta complicated. I-"

The bell rang.

"Darn! I guess you'll have to tell us later!" Ochaco sighed and went to return her plate. I followed her.

My bag went flying across the room and onto my seat, landing with a thump onto the floor as it slid off. There wasn't anything in it- I carried all my books and stuff with my quirk- but I do keep the bag around for aesthetics. Plus, it was free- another thing U.A. covered in my scholarship.

Ochaco was scribbling down her phone number on two torn pieces of paper to give to the boys- I had to admit, I was looking forward to seeing Izuku's reaction to that- and Todoroki was sitting. And that was it.

I honestly didn't know what I was expecting, but I tried to engage him all the same. "Hey Todoroki! How was your lunch?"

"Fine."

"Care to elaborate?"

"Not really."

"...Ouch." I let out a self-deprecating chuckle, trying to diffuse the tension. "I guess I had that coming. Sorry."

There was a long pause as Todoroki looked down at his desk, silent.

"You didn't do anything wrong. Don't say you're sorry."

I opened my mouth to respond, but was cut off by a sudden yell as a tall, brightly dressed hero made an appearance.

"I AM HERE! COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A HERO!"

Izuku immediately started shaking with so much joy I thought he was having a panic attack.

His fanboy energy was infectious as I stared at our new teacher. Sure, I knew a few Pros. Erasurehead- Mr. Aizawa, is a bit of a family friend, and I've had a few good conversations with the local pros around my area. But I never thought that I would get to see All Might in the flesh, let alone learn from him.

All Might happily marched to the front of the classroom, beginning to explain today's lesson.

"Welcome to the most important class at U.A. High," he started, "think of it as Heroing, 1-0-1. Here, you will learn the basics of being a pro, and what it means to fight in the name of good! Today's lesson..."

Please be hero stuff please be hero stuff please be hero stuff...

"WILL CERTAINLY PULL NO PUNCHES! COMBAT TRAINING!"

"It's real hero stuff!" I threw a fist into the air, then realized that I had said that out loud and promptly sank into my chair. "Sorry."

All Might laughed. "I appreciate the enthusiasm! Of course, one of the keys of being a hero is...looking good!"

Twenty-one numbered metal suitcases appeared in the wall to my left. "These were designed for you based on your Quirk registration forms you sent in before school started."

The class erupted with joyful squeals and yells.

Get yourselves suited up, and then meet me at Training Ground Beta!"

I was the first one out of my seat, rushing forward, grabbing the suitcase that corresponded with my seat number, and looking around at my classmate's reactions.

Izuku looked like he was about to burst, Ochaco nearly floated out of her seat in excitement, and Todoroki... didn't react.

What was I expecting, anyway?

Half an hour later, our costume change was complete, and my newly bedazzled classmates gathered in Ground Beta.

Asui's outfit looked spectacular- I went out of my way to tell her so, and ended up on a first-name basis with her. Kaminari's looked cool. Izuku's outfit felt a little familiar, but overall gave me the impression of a bunny... and...

"Y/n! Oh my gosh, I love your outfit so much!! It's so pretty!"

My train of thought was cut off as Ochaco leaped at me in a hug, which I returned with enthusiasm.

"Mine looks pretty? Girl, have you seen yourself? You look awesome!"

Ochaco let go of me and blushes, pulling at the fabric. "You think so? It's not too skin-tight? I thought it was too skin tight."

"No way!" I grinned. A girl with pink skin and hair -Ashido- then came running over, followed by a pair of disembodied gloves that I assumed was the girl with the invisibility quirk, Hagakure Toru.

"Oh my gawwdd!! You look so amazing!!" Ashido squealed. I laughed and looked down at my outfit.

The fabric was much like Ochaco's: light-but-flexible, tight, but not enough to restrict movement. However, my main deviation from Ochaco's outfit was my suit's color scheme.

Where Ochaco's was tame shades of pink mixed with black, my outfit was brighter than the sun, a full show of hot pink, bright yellow, and police strobe blue.

Yeah, my quirk wasn't strong. Sure, my quirk wasn't flashy. All that meant was that I had to be twice as much on my own.

I just had to be "Plus Ultra".
