It is irritating not being able to do things myself. My question is how the hell I fractured my wrist when I fell in ice.

Josh has been doing everything for me.

Well, almost everything.

Helping me dress, helping me walk, eat, lay comfortably, pick things up. It's strange but heartwarming. I didn't know he could be this much of a sweetheart.

His ex is stupid for whatever reason they broke up. She lost so much. No wonder she didn't told me to stay away. She wants him back.

A voice breaks my train of thought.

"Hey, Princess, come on its time for bed. You're getting discharged tomorrow, you need energy."

Josh is approaching me at a slow stride. He's wearing his doctor clothes and his mask is in his pocket.

He puts his arms under mine and his hands on my back as he helps me lay back. He hovers over me and stares down at me.

I feel my face heat up. I knew it was wrong what I was feeling. Josh was Alyssa's brother. He was older. He was my enemy. Yet I'd never wanted to kiss a man more than right now.

Our eyes stare deep into each other's and I swear we get closer when-

Footsteps.

Josh moves up and stands straight. A female voice speaks.

"Dr. Young? You're needed in the office, paperwork. Let the patient rest."

It's a Nurse. Melissa. The nicest woman I'd met. She was around 42 years old with two kids. 3 and 5, son and younger daughter. She'd shown me pictures and they were absolutely adorable.

Tiny humans with brown hair and green eyes. The cutest I'd ever seen.

Josh looked at me before leaving and I swear I saw disappointment in them.

I stared around my dimly lit room thinking about me and Josh. Was I falling for him? For Josh Young, a man I'd associated with annoyance for years? No way. But-

God I was an idiot. I was falling for him. I though about him often. So often I disgusted myself with it.

I squeezed my eyes shut and fell asleep.

                                        ❆❆❆

I woke up with a start jumping right up and gasping for air. Josh was right next to me looking panicked.

"What?! What's wrong Juliet.?!"

He asked staring at me. I heaved trying to steady my breath.

"I... I.." wheeze "I broke the spines of my books.."

He immediately looks annoyed and groans.

Holy shit. That sound did things to me. Things I wasn't proud of.

"You've got to be kidding me Jules. You hand a nightmare of breaking your book spines?

"I thought- you know what never mind."

"What?"

I asked cautiously.

"What did you think?"

"Nothing. Just get up and let me help you dress. We've got a lot to do."

"Nu uh. Tell me."

"Stop being so stubborn-"

"Josh."

He tensed.

"I thought you had a nightmare about drowning. Happy? Now let me help you dress."

It took me aback to the point I fell silent. I didn't respond and stood up to have him dress me.

He pulls off the hospital dress and helps me into a pair of sweatpants and a shirt. He swung and jacket over me and put an arm around me helping me walk out.

It was only a few moments later when Josh and I exited the hospital. He'd changed into his own sweatpants and a compression shirt.

Holy shit.

I resist the urge to stare at him though it is tempting. We walk to his black car but before he could even open the door to my seat I hear a bitchy voice clear her throat.

I turn my head to see none other than Channel. Fuck. Why was she here. What did she want.

She looked me up and down, gave me a dirty look and turned to Josh, putting on a fake smile. Sickeningly sweet.

"Joshhyyyy. Why are you with her. Come we can go to my place?~"

I want to throw up.

I glance up at Josh for a second. He has a stone cold expression, terrifying. Chills run down my spine.

"Leave Channel, I have no reason to be anywhere near you."

"But Joshy-"

"Did you not hear him? Fucking go you whore."

I step in already annoyed. She looks like she'd just been asked to eat shit.

"Excuse me-"

"Shut up."

"Who do you-"

"Eat shit."

I hear Josh holding back a laugh.

Channel looks enraged.

"I will be back! You'll regret everything you communist!"

I feel the tension rise around us. Josh goes to step forward before I stop him.

"That the best yo could do?"

"Terrorist! Witch!"

"Witch? That's new. Go before I curse you."

"You wouldn't dare-!"

"Болото, золото, шторка-"

My nonsense is interrupted by a high pitched scream, I can't blink before I see her do a silly run the other way in heels.

God I love being bilingual. Josh is in full blown laughter.

"What the hell did you say?"

"Swamp, Gold, curtains."

"What?"

Josh is wheezing. I start to laugh slightly myself.

"Hey, the biggest nonsense make the best curse."

"I can tell. How do you say witch in Russian?"

"Ведьма or колдуняя"

"Hmm. Koldynya?"

"Yep."

"Alright Koldynya, get in the car."

I smirk widely and get into his car as he opens the door. He walks around and gets into the driver's seat.
