"And where have you been? No wait...don't tell me". Tony's voice cuts through the darkness and silence that is 6am the next morning.

Damn...

I kind of went over my curfew, by all night - and now I've tried to sneak back in and found my boss sitting in the dark and waiting for me.

"Why are you sitting in the dark lurking like a supervillain?" I hiss as I close the door quietly behind me.

"I thought it looked cool, but that's not the subject we're talking about right now". Tony sips his coffee. "I'm guessing the reconciliation went well?" He sniffs the air. "You smell like Rogers".

At least he didn't send Happy to kick the door down like he threatened to.

"That means he did his job right then" I mutter although he hears this. "Don't worry, I'll take a shower before Morgan wakes up" I roll my eyes. "Have you been waiting for me all night?"

"Since 5am, seeing as that's when you usually wake up anyway. I knew it wouldn't be long until you tried sneaking back". He looks a little smug now, knowing that I wouldn't have got away with it.

"Well you'll be happy to know I'm not dead, and yes, it went well". I say, "you'd better still give me that raise".

"After this? Not a chance". He smirks. "Coffee?"

I need all the caffeine I can get.

"Please".

He gets up and makes me some while I sit at the island counter and ponder just how wrecked I must look to him. I didn't even drink last night either. Instead we had dinner together, just the two of us, talking like we'd never been apart - laughing at the same stupid shit we used to. Then after, we lost track of time as we once again became caught up both on and in one another. He didn't want me to leave, but with Morgan being up at 7am I couldn't risk going home and walking in while she was awake. Steve made sure I got back safe, coming with me instead of just sending me home alone with his driver. Watching all the way as I opened the door and walked into the house.

"There you go...Y'know you should thank Pepper for not having Happy bust in on you last night, she told me to just let you enjoy yourself. Didn't think it would be that much though".

I sip the coffee. "He explained everything to me. It was his dad who made him break up with me".

"And what about all the other shit? Missing dates? His sister's ballet recital?"

Shit, I forgot I told him about all of that.

"He says he'll still be making all of that up to me for years to come, but for now, just knowing everything. It's kind of enough for me".

"Make sure he does, you want flowers, perfume, jewellery..." Tony begins to list off just what Steve can buy me however I stop him.

"No..." I smile. "Just him. He's enough for me".

Tony stares at me. "I think the sex has melted your brain to slush, drink your coffee and wash the Rogers smell from you. Morgan's gonna be practically skiing down the stairs in t-minus an hour". He checks his watch.

I slide off the stool and take my cup with me. "I'm gonna do just that right now, love you Mr Stark". I smirk

"Still not getting that raise Lu". He calls as I walk into my bedroom and shut the door on him.

Getting out my phone, I see that Steve has already messaged me. Does Stark even give you a day off?

I chuckle and text back. I get the whole weekend unless there's some event that requires me to work ;)

Actually there is one, this weekend - dinner at mine with a double helping of dessert after. It's an obligatory requirement that you attend.

My diary just happens to be free so I suppose I can pencil that in. What day?

Both - we can have a sleepover just like old times, perhaps finish what was started last night 😏

If I remember rightly, we finished a fair amount of times 💀

Well then we need to beat our score of last night then. Saturday, I'll send the car for you.

Don't you usually work weekends?

Unless I'm on a business trip or there's some major Patriot related emergency? Hell no.

Looks like you've got me all weekend then Rogers.

Just how I've wanted it.

It looks like my weekends are about to get filled for the foreseeable future - and I'm not just talking about my schedule.
