All through art I could barely speak. I was totally gobsmacked by what I had just heard. Yasmin chatted normally to the others as if nothing had happened.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I followed Yasmin outside after art had finished.

"I didn't think it mattered.." She rose an eyebrow at me.

I shuffled awkwardly, unsure of what to say. Yasmin sighed and pushed a strand of blonde hair behind her ear.
"Do you want to know the details?"

"Don't leave anything out," I winked which made Yasmin laugh a little, but soon enough she was biting her lip again.

"Well there's not much to say.. We started dating at the start of year ten and broke up towards the end of it," she shrugged.

"That's a pretty long, time" I walked faster to keep up with Yasmin but still lagged behind. She shrugged again, like she couldn't care less.
"So why did you break up?"

"We kept arguing," she said bluntly. I knew by the tone in her voice that I should stop asking questions but I so wanted to know what had happened between the two of them.

"What about?" I said quietly. At first I was unsure if Yasmin had heard me but suddenly she stopped dead in her tracks and turned to face me.

"Stuff, just stuff."

I gave up asking after that..

The last bell rang, making my eyes snap open and my body spring up in my chair. Maths was the most boring thing in the world. I'd rather have been watching paint dry then sitting through an entire lesson listening to Miss Gills ramble on about angles and areas.
"Are you just going to sit there for the rest of the day?" Someone placed a hand on my shoulder. I jumped at the sudden contact but sighed in relief when I realised it was just Zack.

"I never noticed you were in this class," I grabbed my maths book and slid it into my bag.

"How?" Zack laughed and looked around, "it's a pretty small class.." This was true. For most lessons I was in the first or second set but when it came to maths I was pretty slow. Therefore they'd put me into the bottom set along with a dozen other students. Zack being one of them.
"Are you going to the party on Friday night?" He waited as I got out of my chair.

"What party?" I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked with him towards the corridors.

"Well, basically this school use any sort of occasion to have a party or some other celebration," Zack shook his head and laughed.

"So what's this one for?"

"The start of a new school year."

"I might come then," I smiled at Zack and started to head off towards my room.

"Wait!," Zack hurried behind me, "do you want to go with me?" A nervous grin spread across his face. I pondered for a second, mostly thinking about Alex. He didn't seem the kind to go to one of these parties and that kiss might have just been a one off. So there was nothing wrong about going with Zack? Right?..

"Sure," I smiled at Zack, who's grin was no longer nervous but happy.

"Cool, well I'll see you around then," he leaned in and gave me a warm hug that made me melt against his chest. His strong arms held me in close before letting go. He smiled again and then hurried off in the opposite direction.
Pushing the hair away from my face I started to walk towards my room again. Shame I didn't really know the way to my room.
After ten long minutes of searching for something I recognised, I was about ready to give up. That was until I saw a black haired boy sat laughing at me.

"Seriously Pippa, you've walked past this spot at least four times now," Alex stood up and walked over to me.
I looked around and felt even more lost, this place didn't even look familiar and I'd apparently walked through it four times.
"I'm just messing with you," Alex paused, "you've only walked through this bit twice."
I just rolled my eyes as Alex laughed at me.

"Please just help me," I begged, much to Alex's delight.

"Get on your knees and say that again," his eyes glimmered with mischief and he licked his lips trying to be seductive. Well, maybe he wasn't trying to be.. But he was defiantly seducing me.

"Alex," I groaned. Smirking, he imitated my groan in a high pitch, 'girly' voice that apparently sounded like me. "I hate you," I started to barge past him but his hands fastened onto my waist and pulled me back.

"You're going the wrong way.. Again," the smirk kept on spreading across his playful face.

"I knew that.. Just taking a detour.." I trailed off as Alex turned my waist so that it was pointing towards a corridor I, take a guess, didn't recognise.

"Now do you need a tour guide or are you going to be detouring all night long?" Alex asked, even though he already knew what my answer would be..
