While the group on that field had a brief respite, the other group found the battle facing the Gedo Statue had turned into pure chaos.

By the time they even got there, a lot of people were already down for the count.

Ino and Shikamaru rushed to help Choji, while the others wondered what on earth they should do.

"We cannot fight that thing." Momo hadn't expected it to be so big, though she'd seen images of it.

"Yeah...I dunno," Camie said. "If it was a robot, you could probably do something."

Bakugo, who was the least easily cowed, didn't even say something right off, just glared at it.

"Realistically," Shoto said, "we cannot stop it anyway... But look at them, they're devastated. Can we at least slow it down and give them time to get some distance?"

"Does it have a vulnerable point?" Momo asked.

"I remember," Bakugo said. "The eye is kind of vulnerable. If I could get up there and blast it, the monster might slow down a bit."

"Can we do that?" Momo asked.

"Y'all," Camie said, "remember that Obito is the one controlling that thing." She pointed up at him. "If we distract him, we'll distract that thing..."

"You think you can?" Sai was still with them.

"We might be able to," Shoto said. "I've seen Shine do that many times... Camie, your illusions might do it."

"Yeah..." Camie said. "I have an idea. It's a crazy idea, but it could work. But you'd have to get me up there."

"I can do that," Sai said.

"Sai, you'd be good at moving the people," Momo said. "There's many of them injured...and I might be able to help a little with that... We can't ignore the fact we have other gifts besides our quirks now."

"Only you know how to use it though," Shoto said. "I never awakened one."

"Not yet, but who knows?" Momo said. "You might."

"Is there something you can make, Momo, to slow that thing down?" Shoto asked.

Momo studied it. "Well...I think it's not going to know what we can do, because we don't use jutsu. That gives us one edge. If Camie could keep its attention off me, for a while, I could make something that would make it slow down. It won't stop it forever, but, we're trying to buy time. That much I can do. It will take a while though. And I need to eat."

She took out some food.

"Bakugo and I will get Camie close to it," Shoto said. "Once he sees us all, we'd have to get Obito talking, right?"

"Well...I am good at talking..." Camie said in a small voice.

"I don't know that this strategy is a good one." Sai was skeptical.

"It works for Shine," Bakugo said. "And if it doesn't, we'll just be faster than him, like Wally. They're not here, which means this is up to freaking us, and we're freaking not gonna screw that up. I'm not gonna have them say later that we can't be trusted to do anything alone."

"Sai, can you tell Shikamaru and Ino our idea?" Momo said. "They can back us up if they know."

"Very well," Sai said uncertainly.

He left them.

"Well...here goes, I guess." Momo pressed her lips together and started to move around the rocks.

Shoto made a pole of ice and took Camie and Bakugo up it.

Obito soon saw them, and he turned to them.
