"Call the doctor!!!!"

Those were the first words that Cleo heard after opening her eyes. She feels no better than numb and weak. But at least the worst is over now.

"I'm so glad you're awake Cleo!" She heard another voice that sounded completely strange but yet familiar.

Cleo? Is that my name?

Wait!

My name...

My name is Cleo???

Wait, who am I?

Too many questions rang the girl's head that she barely realized the doctor asking her some questions.

"Do you remember what happened?" She was finally able to put together some words after managing to focus at one worried face out of all the many strange faces in the room.

Cleo gently shook her head. Looking at all the faces again and trying to remember where and when did she saw them before.

They all look familiar but she could not recall it.

More over...

She can't recall anything.

Everything from her own name.

How she looks...

Who she is...

Everything about her and her life somehow became an empty canvas.

All Cleo knows is that her name because it was how she was addressed after opening her eyes.

Eventually. The realization of forgetting was starting to sink her to despair. She could hear the doctor saying something about amnesia to the two ladies who had been crying since she woke up.

They must be her family.

When the doctor left after examining her, the older lady couldn't stop crying as she sat on the couch and cradled her head.
It must've been hard to accept for her. Cleo figured that maybe she is someone important to her. Because her heart breaks just by seeing her cry.

Is she my mother?

"How do you feel!" The other girl asks as she sat beside Cleo's bed.

She obviously looks like she's trying hard to not burst into tears too.

"Okay." Cleo replied timidly as she scanned the girl's face.

The girl must've noticed it and figured to do something about it.

"I'm Clay. I'm your twin sister." She said and her voice broke saying the word sister to someone who had already forgotten her permanently.

"But don't worry." She said and forced a smile while wiping away her stray tears.

For some reason. Cleo felt teary. She didn't know if this is the way she is. But seeing Clay crying in front of her feels so sad.

"We're not identical. You're very pretty in your own way!" She said and smiled at her.

"You're both pretty." The other lady speaks as she stood up and walks towards them while wiping her tears.

"I'm Jessi. I'm your aunt." She introduced herself before sitting on her bed so she could reach her hair and brush it. A gesture she always does to the twins.

"Our parents?" She asked. Jessi and Clay looked at each other followed by a dejected sigh from the older.

"Your parents passed away since you were kids. I've been taking care of the both of you since then." She replied and Cleo only nodded her head.
