[Scene: Seine]

"Oops! Sorry, Mylène. My bad!", Marin apologized after he bumped into Mylène. He and his 'friends' (and Sabrina) were all helping to set up the houseboat for a music festival.

"Just try to be more careful.", Mylène firmly told the mixed Asian. "Sorry!", Marin sheepishly apologized.

"I think this is yours Rose.", Marin said, handing Rose a microphone out of the box of stuff she was holding. "Thanks...", Rose said, grabbing the mic and walks away, not wanting to be around Marin.

He walks over to Arlo. "She's not here yet.", Marin said, referring to Amelie.

"No worries, dude. The gig hasn't started yet.", Arlo reassured. "What if she doesn't know Juleka's address? Or she got the wrong day? Or she's lost? Could you check with Nino please? You know, of course, just... casually.", Marin asked.

"Hey, Nino, did you hear from Amelie, by any chance?", Arlo called up to Nino, Marin looking around, embarrassed. "She had something to do with his old man. She said she'll come right after.", Nino explained.

Arlo and Marin chuckle, Arlo elbowing him. "Captain Anarka speaking to ya'! So how's it comin' along me young pirates? Ready to celebrate the-", Anarka said, before stopping, she adjusts her glasses.

"Whatcha up to, there, matey?", Anarka asked, walking up to Marin. "Uh, hello ma'am. I'm cleaning up for tonight! Your boat's gonna be clean as a whistle!", Anarka assured.

"You're cleaning?", Anarka said, laughing and began spreading letters around. "We never pick up in this house! Didn't me daughter tell you? We like the lived-in look. We have no rules on The Liberty! Out of chaos comes creation! Messiness is life!", Anarka yelled out, happily.

[Scene: Amelie's Room]

Amelie's fingers danced across the piano keys, filling the room with a delicate melody. The music flowed effortlessly, until a single wrong note echoed through the air.

She paused, her shoulders tensing as she glanced up. Gabriel's voice cut through the silence.

"I've heard enough. Is this what you call practicing, Amelie?", Gabriel said. Amelie looked up, meeting her father's gaze.

"I've been repeating the same exercises over and over. I'm not making any real progress, Father. Music is meant to be shared with others, to create something together. Don't you agree?", Amelie asked. Gabriel's expression hardened.

"We Agrestes are soloists, not part of a group. You would do well to remember that. I expect you to rehearse your piece again, and you will perform it for me later today.", Gabriel said. Amelie blinked, taken aback.

"But Father, you promised I could attend my friends' concert tonight.", Amelie pointed out. Gabriel's eyes narrowed.

"Not after that lackluster performance. Clearly, their influence is distracting you. You need to refocus, Amelie.", Gabriel said. With that, he turned and left the room, Nathalie silently following him.

Amelie stared at the closed door, her heart sinking. Plagg popped out from his hiding place, floating beside her.

"Wow, it's just awful that Amelie isn't allowed out.", Amelie muttered. "Uh-huh.", Plagg agreed, nibbling on a piece of camebert.

"And that Amelie has to stay and practice piano instead.", Amelie continued, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she reached for her phone, pressing play on a pre-recorded piano track. "Sure.", Plagg mumbled, not paying much attention.

"And that Amelie can't have any fun at all!", Amelie added, dramatically. Plagg finally glanced at her, exasperated.

"I get it already. Just suit up!", Plagg said. Amelie giggled, her spirits lifting.
