Before Y/n and Sukuna fight, we switch perspectives to Megumi who is waiting for both Yuji and Y/n to get back. Megumi senses that the innate domain has been closed
Megumi: The special grade is dead! Now we just need Itadori and Y/n to return safely...
As Megumi says that Y/n goes flying into a tree right in front of him. Sukuna appears right next to Megumi
Sukuna: Sorry, but he's not coming back.
Y/n: Hey Megumi! This Sukuna guy packs a punch...he's as strong as I thought he'd be.
Y/n gets up and stretches
Y/n: I'm pretty sturdy though. Plus I think after fighting that special grade I've gotten a bit stronger.
Y/n bolts in front of Sukuna and kicks him sending him further away from Megumi. Sukuna smiles
Sukuna: Impressive. You even seem to share the same cursed energy trait. You've got me in a great mood! Let's chat for a bit
Y/n: Cursed energy trai-? Ok never mind.
Sukuna speaks to himself about Yuji
Sukuna: This is what happens when you try to make a pact without both parties wanting it. Feels like he's having some trouble switching back because he didn't want to do it.
Y/n: He was able to before. Why is he struggling now?
Sukuna: I could explain it but you wouldn't understand. Plus this is only temporary, after a bit of time he will be able to switch back

Sukuna: Right now, what can I even do?
Sukuna plunges his hand into his chest
Megumi: Wh-What are you...
Sukuna takes his hand out revealing Yuji's heart
Sukuna: I'm taking this brat hostage. I don't need this to live but the kid does
Megumi: Hostage?!
Sukuna: For good measure.
Sukuna pulls out the Sukuna finger the Finger bearer had and eats it
Sukuna: With that, I'm free as a bird. You can be frightened now. I'll kill you both. Might as well right?
Y/n: I can't wait...
Y/n summons his staff and puts it on his shoulder
Y/n: I don't think you understand though. Yuji's gonna come back. He'd rather die than you kill us both.
Sukuna: You give him too much credit. This guy's just a little tougher and denser than other humans. Just a moment ago, he was scared out of his mind, on the verge of death, and hoping in his mind that his friend could beat the special grade on his own. I know for a fact he doesn't have the guts to kill himself.
