"So they're sending you up?" He asks staring at me with a hurtful expression and I nod along.

"They know about Mary. Look you can't blow this now you have to do the right thing-"

"No. No I can't lose you. Teresa can't lose you." He protests grabbing into my hands and I pull him into my arms comforting him.

"It's okay. Look this way you're safe." I whisper in his shoulder. "Thomas they can't kill me. Not if I'm her daughter."

"They might as well. Your going to forget-"
"No." I say keeping my voice stern.
"I won't forget you." I shake my head assuring him.

"At least you'll be with him." He reasons and I let out a laugh tucking my hair behind my ear.
"Yeah I don't think he's going to remember me."

I say as I fist my pendant hanging over my neck letting it fall as I placed over his neck. "Here." My hand placed on top of the caduceus.
"I can't keep it-"
"My tattoos will remind me who I am. Not some live of jewlrey."

"I can't-"
Before he trys to return it we hear alarms blaring which meant we'd been caught. And it was my time.
Because they drag me by my arms as Thomas screams for them to stop.

"Rise and shine."
I gasp awake at a figure standing over me and I cover my eyes groaning the moment I see newt with a bright smile.
"Well you're a morning person."

"I'd be a morning person if I liked where I woke up."
I say to him as I tumble out my hammock not getting used to how to even wake up in one.

"Building time?" I ask him because he stands waiting to chaperone me to the builders. He nods motioning his head for us to walk away.

And I follow him as I look down at my linen shirt that was once blue. But I needed to spend more time to get the stains out from the past two days.

"So how did you find slicing and farming?" He asks and I shrug turning my head back to see all the boys staring.
And the moment they realise I'm staring back they all turn their heads away.

"Everyone just stares at me. I mean you saw yesterday. The only two people I talked to was you and Zart." I sigh tucking my hair behind my ears and he lets out a laugh.
"They'll get used to you." Newt says and I shake my head doubting it.

"No, I don't think they will. Especially not after last night." I sigh as I see Gally carrying huge pieces of wood as the other boys work around him helping them in the hay. And everyone stares from my so called tantrum I threw last night.

"Well hopefully they'll be easy on you with building." He says and I nod along hoping but not likely.
"He hates me you know." I turn my head to newt with a sigh.

"He doesn't hate you." Newt says and I instantly scoff reacting to his lies.
"I'm sorry do his words I don't trust her not indicate that he hates me?!" I state the obvious and he laughs.

"It indicates that he doesn't like new things...I mean you haven't made much of a promising case either." He says and I stare at him confused.

"What how?" I ask confused my tone high.
"You spend the first day mute and avoiding everyone. Then avoid everyone during dinner. Then throw a fit the third day."

"I was thrown into a glade with about thirty guys! Screw me for thinking I was going to die. And everyone just plays follow whatever everyone else thinks about me in here." I say defending myself and Newt instantly laughs.

"Plus it's hard to make friends here. When you're the only girl everyone just looks at you like your frypans freshly made burgers."
I say and he lets out another laugh clearly more amused than me and I groan just looking around at everyone who stares.
