Safe?

"What the hell?!"

I was instantly greeted by yells as I look at Gally so confused and he looks down at me like he's enraged with fury.

What did I miss? I was only gone for a little while. I hid under the Ivy for an hour because it was raining and then tried to run to dry myself off.

I wasn't that late.

"A hello would be nice?" I scoff shaking my head and he instantly just welcomed me in his embrace and I was taken back a little but I let my head rest in his chest.

"I thought...I thought-"

"I'm okay." I assure him rubbing his back. "I'm okay grumpy." I whisper and he pulls away from the hug as I see a crowd start to form.
But they all have concerned looks on their faces.

"What's going on?" I ask my stomach starting to sink and Newt walks over as he looks through the maze doors.

"Where are they? Where's Minho and Alby-"
"They're supposed to be back. They're running Bens route....wait they're not back?"
I worry instantly looking at them to tell me I'm skipping to conclusions but they don't.

"They're not?!" I yell out and that's when I instantly push myself away ready to kick of running back in until I feel arms stretched out.

"No! Hey I'm not letting you go back-"
"I don't care!" I scream out trying to free myself from his grip.

"He's right Blake it's against the rules." Frypan adds and I widen my eyes shaking my head.
"I don't care. This is Alby- this is Minho! I'm not risking losing another freaking person!"

I shake my head and I see Thomas slowly walk towards the crowd formed and Gally keeps his hands around my waist keeping me still.

"I'm not letting you go back in there." He mutters shaking his head pulling me back and I know there was no point fighting his grip.

"If they don't come back, and I had a chance to save them-"
"They're gonna make it Blake." Newt says and I scoff shaking my head.
"You better hope they will."

Gally still keeps his hand around my waist but I could tell it was to make sure I didn't storm in there.
"If they die, I will never forgive myself. Or you."
I mutter keeping my gaze on Gally and he keeps himself silent as voted of us form by the maze doors and we patiently wait.

And Chuck joins my side as he hugs my side.
And I quickly realise as I stupidly forgot to hand him the ivy leaves and vines.
"For your mother."
I whisper handing it to him and he shoots me a smile.

I sling over my arm resting it on chucks shoulder as Gally is now kneels down his arms still wavered near my waist ready to pull me in because he knew I'd run.

We all silently stare and I feel Thomas shift next to me and I turn my head to him looking in his eyes. Not even a strike of fear as he stares behind the walls.
He's curious.

And we start to hear the rumble meaning it was time.
"Come on guys can't we send someone after them?" Thomas suggests and I was ready to run straight in.

"Yes-"
"It's against the rules." Gally says tugging my hand back to him.
"Either make it back or they don't."

"We can't risk losing anyone else." Newt adds along and I scoff shaking my head.
That's his bestfriend! That's their leader!

The wind starts to howl as we all see the walls starting to move closer.
"There!" Thomas points out and I see Minho. But he isn't alone. He's struggling.
With alby.

"Wait no something's wrong!" Newt points out and reality hits me. He's not gonna make it through.

All the boys yell trying to encourage him to pull through and make it and I was so ready to reach in.
"They're not gonna make it." Newt realises and the moment I try run in a pair of arms are wrapped around my waist holding me back.
