Danny woke up to a gentle tapping on his face.
"It's time for work sleepy head" Alez said.
Danny looked at the clock.
"Shi- wait, how did you know that? And why am I in your bed?"
Alez laughed.
"You were late yesterday so I figured it out"
He gave Danny a smirk.
"I think we should work on your sleep walking. Don't get me wrong I don't mind the company, but I figured you wouldn't like it much"
Danny huffed.
"I didn't have this problem before" he grumbled.
"Hey Danny, let's watch a movie together after work" Alez said.
"We're friends and friends hang out"
Danny picked up his bag for work and agreed defeated.
He made his way to work feeling strangely rested.
"Hey Stark!" Danny said cheerfully as he walked in.
Danny was met with silence. He looked over at Stark. Stark stood up and turned.
"Danny, why did you move?"
Danny was stunned for a second.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you that I moved. I'm actually rooming with someone. My old apartment was really small. Sorry" Danny said.
Stark sighed.
"It's fine. I just stopped by yesterday and you weren't there"
"I still live in Crime Alley, but now I'm more secure." Danny grabbed a slip of paper and scribbles down the address.
"Here, for emergencies or if you need me" Danny said handing it to him.
Stark took the address and slipped it in his pocket.
Danny worked on the blueprints for the new project the rest.of the work day.
"Are you staying overtime today?" Stark asked.
"Nope, I have plans with a friend." Danny said.
"Oh Tim? That makes sense. You two have gotten really close"
"If I tell Bruce, Tim can monitor Danny" Stark thought.
"Nope, it's actually another friend"
Stark looked at Danny concerned. Since when did Danny have other friends?
Suddenly Danny's phone rang.
Danny took the phone call at his desk, Stark listened in.
"Hello?" Danny wasn't used to get phone calls.
Alez groaned. He had dealt with territory disputes all day. He just wanted the day to end. Suddenly an idea popped into his head. Danny would be off work in an hour or less.
Two of his subordinates saw Alez smile as he clicked on a contact.
"Hello~" Alez said.
"What was that?" One of them asked.
"I-I don't know. I've never seen him smile before. Unless it was right before chaos"
The two shivered almost in unison.
"Are you almost done?" Alez asked on a pouty tone.
Danny grinned, "yes, I'm almost done" he said.
