Murtasim pulled her back into a warm hug, kissing her hair, and whispered a soft "I won't... Promise!" Feeling the unspoken emotions between them, Murtasim gently lifted Meerab in his arms, her slight frame supported with care. He carried her to the bed, the softness of the mattress embracing her as he placed her down with a tender touch. Murtasim settled down beside her, the weight of their shared moments hanging in the air.

The room was steeped in a quiet intimacy as Murtasim gazed at Meerab, his eyes conveying a mixture of affection and understanding. Without a word, he reached for her hand, entwining his fingers with hers and pulled her in his embrace. The gentle touch spoke volumes, a silent reassurance that transcended words. As they lay in each other's arms, Murtasim's presence offered a sense of comfort, and Meerab felt a soothing warmth enveloping her.

Murtasim turned to Meerab, his eyes reflecting the depth of his emotions. With a soft smile, he began, "Meerab, thank you. This was... ah... incredible. Your love and what you did for me mean more than I can express in words."

Meerab met his gaze, a mixture of warmth and vulnerability in her eyes. "Kyun? Aisa bhi kya kiya maine? Maine jo bhi kiya, woh apne liye kiya." Murtasim knotted his eyebrows, "Aur waise bhi...mera maqsad tha!" She shrugged her shoulders.

"Maqsad?" Murtasim questioned.

Meerab smiled at him, "Hmm...I wanted to make this evening special for you."

He caressed her cheek gently, his thumb tracing the contours of her face. "You did more than that. You made me feel loved and cherished in a way I've never experienced before. Your understanding, your touch—it's something I'll always treasure."

Meerab's eyes sparkled with affection as she intertwined her fingers with his. "I'm glad I could give you that, Murtasim. You mean everything to me, and I want us to share these moments together."

"Jab... Baba Sahab chale gayye toh unke saath mere saare khwaab bhi khatam ho gayye," Murtasim began, the weight of his words hanging in the air. Meerab moved closer to him, her gaze intent as she listened, slipping her legs in between his. "Khuda ne qismat mein kya likha tha, kaisi zindagi di thi mujhe... Kaisa mustaqbil? Soch hi nahi paya main." In the tender silence that followed, Meerab held him close, understanding the depth of his reflection.

"Shaadi... jab waqt aayega toh ho jaayegi, aur mohabbat?" he chuckled, "mohabbat ke baare main toh sochne ka waqt bhi nahi tha mere paas." Murtasim turned to look into his wife's eyes. "Aur phir tum se rishta teh kardiya gaya..." Meerab swallowed a lump in her throat, meeting Murtasim's gaze. He took a small pause and continued, "Uss raat jab tumhe uss haal mein Waqas Chacha ke darwaze par rote hue dekha, toh dard mujhe bhi hua tha." Murtasim turned towards Meerab, bringing her closer into his arms. He cupped her cheek lovingly, tracing the contours with his thumb. "Pehli baar khudko itna bebas mehsoos kiya tha maine. Chahkar bhi main tumhare saath woh sab hote hue nahi rok paya jo mere saath hua tha. Khwaab chheen liye gaye humse."

Meerab listened to Murtasim's heartfelt words, feeling the weight of his emotions resonate in the quiet intimacy of their shared space. As he whispered about the night, he had witnessed her in anguish outside Waqas Chacha's door, Meerab's heart swelled with empathy.

Murtasim continued to hold her close, his touch a comforting anchor. He traced the lines of her face with tender fingertips, the silent exchange of emotions speaking louder than words. "Murtasim..." Meerab began to console him.

"Nahi, sach mein Meerab... Jab nikaah hua, toh umeed nahi thi koi mujhe. Bas darr tha... ek aur khwaab, ek aakhiri khwaab dekhne ki jurat ki thi maine, uske toot jaane ka darr." Murtasim whispered against her lips, his words hanging in the air with a poignant weight. Overwhelmed by his vulnerability, Meerab gently placed a finger on his lips, hushing him. "Murtasim, hum dono ne ek doosre ko khoya hai, lekin ab hum ek doosre ko paane mein kamiyab bhi toh hue hain naa? Tum meri zindagi ho, aur hum ek doosre ke saath hain. Bas ab yahi important hai."
