Alice stood with Brian towards the back of the room as they were being interviewed. She couldn't wait to be on the aeroplane to Australia, she did, however, love Hong Kong, every place outside of London just seemed the complete opposite!
John was slightly distracted in the interview, along with the rest of the boys. Shamefully, they couldn't keep their eyes off Alice. Even with a pair of red tights on her legs were unreal. Her black dress hugged her figure and complimented her pasty skin. A cigarette hung from her red lips, clearly using it to keep her hands busy as she held onto it.
The idea of a scotch and coke sounded more appealing than ever as the questions dragged on with each minute that passed. The fir that trimmed her coat tickled her neck, making her giggle to herself. Her book sat in her bag, something else she couldn't wait for. 'The Bell Jar' had been sitting on her shelf for a month or so, and Alice didn't see a better time than now to finally finish it.
It didn't take much time, thankfully, for it to finish. It was clear that the boys were used to being asked the same questions, giving the same answers, and telling some lighthearted jokes just to get through it with a smile. She felt bad for them, truly.

Her teeth dug into her lower lip as she read about Esther slipping deeper into depression, she felt slightly too connected to the character as she discussed her dreams and hopes all while self-sabotaging.
Her hand found her drink as her mind pulled away from the book at Paul seeming frustrated at the cards in his hand. She didn't even notice the boys playing a very loud game of cards. She couldn't believe that they always found ways to entertain themselves without getting bored, it must become so repetitive.
"Fucking shite!" She heard John yell, Paul having a small grin on his face. John stood up and shook his head, moving to sit in the seat next to her.
"What're you doing?" He asked her, reaching over to take a gulp of her drink.
"Oi, that's mine!" She laughed at him, slightly shaking her head. "I'm reading, hopefully it will take my mind to a different world far away from you." She replied.
"I must say I'm offended." He scoffed in mock disgust. She giggled at him and took another sip of her drink. The pair had grown fairly close in a short space of time. It was weird, they were total opposites but somehow, they felt connected in some weird way.
