Alice had many rather large rollers in her hair and only a shirt covering her body. Hannah, who was also not in the most presentable state, was hidden away in the bathroom as she plucked her eyebrows. They had exactly 2 hours before they had to get into their shared cherry red car, which had kindly been a gift from Alice's parents, and head towards the bar.

A bottle of very lovely, and very cheap, wine had been opened and two glasses sat on the dresser as the girls started doing makeup. Hannah wasn't a fan of anything heavy, it never took long for her to complete. Alice took slightly longer as she enjoyed some black eyeliner and quite a few layers of mascara. They were never ones to be known for being tidy, makeup brushes laid across the floor, no doubt leaving some sort of mark, and a variety of perfumes, deodorants and jewellery were thrown in many other random places across the shared bedroom.

Alice's painted fingers gently tugged the rollers out of her freshly washed hair, letting the small flick graze softly against her shoulders. She carefully buttoned up her white blouse, the small frills around the corner pulling gently at her hair. Her little black skirt zipped with ease and her Mary-jane shoes fastened against her white stockings without trouble. A quick look in the mirror was the last thing she needed to do, but also the hardest. She had never been the most confident in herself and her fashion skills, but at least black and white always went together.

Hannah went and joined her in the mirror, her dress being a touch longer than where Alice's skirt hung and a pair of stockings that perfectly matched her tan legs kept her legs warm in the spring breeze. Her boots matched perfectly with the lace trim on the dress and all together she looked perfect. Although she would never admit it out loud, Alice wished she had her friend's confidence. She always seemed so secure in herself and all that she did, Alice wished that she felt the same.

"Right," Hannah said, clapping her hands together. "Let's get going."

The girls pulled their coats on and Alice grabbed the car keys that sat on the coffee table as they dashed for the car.

Brian calling this a 'small' party was the biggest joke that the girls had ever heard. After a short drive to the pub, Love Me Do blaring from the car radio, the last thing they expected was for people to be bouncing from wall to wall.

Brian, who happened to be standing near the door, came up to the girls and led them through the sea of people.

They soon stopped in front of a group of people, so easily recognisable to anyone who leaves their home. John, Paul, George and Ringo all sat around a large table, multiple empty glasses in front of them.
