Winter Fever

Year from the coronation of the usurper king, Winter fever came across the realm.

Aegon bedded almost half the women of noble houses present in the king's landing. He throws frequent tourneys to see new women coming from the other houses.Half  of the Royal treasure got wasted because of his actions. Few are pregnant with his bastards. He drinks full time when he is not with whores and women. Otto sits on the throne and rules the realm and Alicent rules the castle.

Criston Cole and his men murder every man who dares to question the king on his actions. Little did they know they are going to pay for their sins.

When winter fever struck, people started dying. Crops and livestock died too. There is a shortage of food across the realm. Queen Helena lost her young son Maelor to the fever. Royal Family arranged funeral for him. King and queen mourned the loss of their child.

Raider and reavers attacked the West. Outlaws increased in the riverlands. Crimes got increased. The North had enough to take care of themselves during Winter.

Cassandra Baratheon suffered the miscarriage. Aemond targaryen thought she was useless. Cassandra thought aemond was cursed. He cannot stand her anymore and his cruelty increased by the insulting looks he got from her.

People started hating the king due to food shortage. Riots broke in the kings landing. Prince Dareon Targaryen who went to control the fight in his horse got mugged by the crowd and killed in the mishap. His dead body was brought to the castle.

Alicent shed her tears for her son. Aemond targaryen burned the people who were involved in the riots and killed several more who are suspects and people called him maegor the cruel.

Small council is burdened by the action of the prince, absence of the king and mourning of the queen. People started to leave King's Landing, dowager queen and Lord commander closed the city gates.

News of whats happening in the westeros reach princess rhaenyra. She looked at Daemon and wanted to destroy the traitor who caused pain to him and her family.

Once the kids are asleep, he went into the prince of pentos chamber late night. She kissed him.He wanted more of her. When he came close to her and asked him, "Can you do something for me? ".

He said, " Anything for you princess? " . She thought of him as Daemon and let him continue.

It has been a few weeks since Daeron's death.Otto is feeling frequent coughs and headaches very often. Maesters asked him to rest as they feel he might have some infection. But coughs are getting bad everyday. He started feeling dizzy often. Alicent asked the maester to stay by her father's side always.

For the night is dark and full of terrors, Otto is sitting in his chamber. He sees the servant entering his chamber with the food and wine.

After drinking the wine, Otto could feel tightness in his chest and shortness of breath and he asks the servant to fetch the maester. 

Servant sees Otto and says, "Princess Rhaenyra send her regards". He puts him in his bed and leaves the room.

Prince of Pentos showed the message to Rhaenyra.

Hand has fallen. Chaos is all she wanted for them. Chaos is all coming for them.

Alicent nightmares are never ending. She asked the maesters to check whether he was murdered. Maesters said there is no trace of poison in his body. No one can detect the poison the faceless men have. Alicent thought Rhaenyra killed her father. She asked the council to send knights and dragon against her father's killer. She asked for the imprisonment of velaryons.

Council rejected the idea stating crown cannot afford war as they are in middle of drought and disease across the realm.
