In a crystal cavern
The countless mystical crystals embedded in the cavern walls gave the place an ethereal feel to it. The crystals started to glow one by one in no particular sequence before an essence of colour was released by each one of them.

The different colour essences spiralled and combined, mixing and trying to become one. The spiralling colurs grew bigger and bigger before it started to slow down. It began to settle down and seep into the cavern floors.

With the torpedo of colurs dissipated, the silhouettes of breathtakingly beautiful females and males came into full view. Everything on them was pristine without the show of any disturbance from the subdued torpedo.

Their most intriguing feature were their well defined sharp pointed ears.
The cavern was now filled with the calm and tranquil aura that the seemingly celestial beings exuded.

Surprisingly, the colour that had disappeared in the ground rose once more and just like before, it formed a torpedo. This time it was a bit smaller and but definitely more powerful evidenced by the gust of wind that blew past each and every one of the beings who stood looking at the phenomenon unfazed.

They all knew who was coming. Only one person could exuded such power even during formation.

Once the colurs dissolved into the ground just like before, a woman , different from the rest was left seated on a magnificent crystal throne. Her features were all sharp but delicate.

The beings below the crystal throne immediately knelt, a display of loyalty and respect to the lady, who gaze travelled across the cavern, looking to almost everyone before her loud powerful voice rung out.

"You may rise!"

The beings below her followed the command and we're on their feet in a heartbeat. They looked around before starting to mummur amongst themselves.

Some of them couldn't remember what happened and the ones that did were eagerly filling them in.

"My memory's all fuzzy"

"Yeah, I can't quite grasp what last happened"

"Ugh! Don't you remember the prophecy of the Moon goddess"

"What prophecy?!" The confused asked in unison.

Little miss know it all was about to open her mouth with pride before she was forced to swallow whatever she was about to relay to the rest.

"Silence please!"

All focus was once more on the petite lady whose dominating presence forced all to shut up. A polite smile spread on her crescent lips as she tried to ease everyone as they all seemed tensed. Her dominance reduced and the peaceful aura overtook one more .

" So I believe from the long rest the moon goddess put us to many of you have forgotten the reason why this is all happening in the first place, right?"

She asked a question which needed no answer--rhetorical as you may put it. The culprits to the pointed crime lowered their heads in shame wanting not to be singled out.

"No need to feel shy, it has indeed been a long time, too long. It is understandable that some memories may have slipped away. You shouldn't feel shy about this. As the temporary leader of the fairies, I will take it up on myself to clear up all the fuzz."

She looked at some of them who nodded in contentment at her and other who voiced their satisfaction.

"So, a century ago, our very own crown princess, betrayed her very own kind to our greatest enemy, the demons."

There were gasps across the crowd as some claimed to be remembering. Despite the slight interruption, the lady continued in the same tone.

"She claimed to have fallen in love with the crown prince of the demons and the two respectively betrayed their kinds and eloped with each other. Despite the crown princess' betrayal, the moon goddess protected her and her husband from our and the demons' wrath.
