"So this is a goodbye." I mumbled, staring down at my mothers grave for the final time. It was late in the night, the full moon had finally turned its blood red color. This indicated that the red moon celebration had just begun, my least favorite day of the entire year.
All vampires come out to celebrate their existence and show off their wealth and pets. I had finally been noticed. It was a few days before, I was collecting fruits and any other food I could find in the village where I lived. This village has been my home my whole life, grew up and raised here. I was raised by my mother and was always well taken care of. But now that my existence has been discovered I had to leave.
When I was picking fruits a few days ago, a vampire noticed me. Me being quick and small, I managed to make it out of his sight. I hid in my usual spot, a tiny cave. The opening was only wide enough for me to fit through but much bigger on the inside. Now, I was visiting my mothers grave for the final time. I did not have anything to take with me, and either way it would just slow me down.
I bent down and gave the grave one last kiss before I stood up and began making my journey. My mother always commented on how handsome I was. My beautiful blue eyes, fluffy dark hair and my skinny appearance, which she said looked good on me. She said I always had the prettiest dimples and smile. I buried my mother a while after she died, the few remains of her I had after she was abducted by a vampire whom killed her and brought her back where he found her.
I was now walking through the shadows of the buildings and busy streets. I looked around carefully making sure I couldn't be spotted as I crept through small openings or between large rocks. After a while of this, I had finally made it to the big house. The big house was where the vampires went to celebrate. This meant I had to be extra cautious because if I was spotted here, I would be done for.
I had to go past it to make it out of the village, there was no other way around. I stayed low to the ground, watching around and keeping my ears and eyes open. I was now basically crawling at this point, which I'd be more embarrassed than scared if I got caught. As I passed the big house I heard a loud boom. I flinched and turned my head, nothing was there. After a few seconds of my eyes wandering around, I turned my head back to the direction I was heading, until I saw it.
I felt my whole body go into a shock, I couldn't move at all. Right in front of me, there was a face. A bloody face. The red eyes piercing deep into mine, wide open, the bloody fangs, and the worst part, the unconscious vampire right beneath him. I screamed and yelled in horror, my whole body pushing itself back. I had grabbed the attention of several people.
Many started coming towards us to figure out what all the commotion was. I felt myself panicking as I tried jumping up but my body kept me down. The red eyes, inches away from mine sent shivers down my spine. After a few moments of this I was now surrounded, but before I could escape, everything went black. I had been knocked out..
