Pink Duo?!

HELENA STEWART’S POV (@ HOTEL FORTALEJO):

I’m supposed to meet Diana with Denise Montero and Faye Lopez, the Pink Duo, tonight before the party starts.

Ngayon ang despedida party ng best friend ko, si Pamela.

We’ve been very good friends even before we were born, probably because our moms are friends as well. Halos magkapatid na ang turingan naming dalawa.

We share a lot of things in common. Kaunting- kaunti lang ang pagkakaiba namin; she being the bossy type of person you wouldn’t wanna mess with, and me, being the slightly more compassionate person. Although you would not want to mess with me either.

“Blue Rose,”

I jumped when Pamela suddenly appeared beside me. I was too preoccupied kaya’t hindi ko agad siya napansin na paparating.

“Geez bestfriend. Call me while you are still two meters away from me nang hindi ako nagugulat. Or at least show up in front of me first before you start talking.”

“Are you now telling me when and how to talk to you? Are you out of your mind? You know clearly, I do whatever I want, and in whatever way I wanna do it. And you... you just deal with it.”

“Oooh, stay cool! I’m just saying, baka kasi mamaya kung ano ang magawa ko sayo pag bigla kang sumulpot sa likod ko. You know... reflex actions…” Sambit ko dito habang ginegesture ang ilang martial arts tricks.

She just rolled her eyes on me. Pamela will always be Pamela. “Enjoy your party, best friend!”

PAMELA FORTALEJO’S POV:

I want privacy…

BACK TO HELENA’S POV:

What Pamela wants is what she gets.

Napaalis kayo?

Moving on… I can see Diana coming now and I guess she’s already spotted me too.

“Hi there Helena!” she called me while waving her red purse.

Stunning and pretty. Kung bakit mga models ang nakukuha kong members ng Sorority, I don’t know.

“Why are you just coming now?” I asked her and pretended to be annoyed.

“I’m sorry. Did I make you wait for so long? I’m really sorry. I just had to drop by at our agency to file my one- month leave.”

“You don’t need a vacation. On call naman ang trabaho mo as far as I know. Don’t make up excuses.” I told her, still pretending.

“I’m not making excuses. Are you mad? Ahhh, I’m sorry okay?  I think you’re having fun naman na so let’s forget I was late and get going?”

“Not that easy, missy.”

“Please?”

Does she really think I’m pissed because she’s late? I mean, on a normal day, I’d really get mad. But not now, baka masira lang ang gabi ko.

“Helena,”

“Yes Red Rose?”

“Red Rose?”

“Yup. That will be your code name.”

“Code name? Red Rose? Yun lang?”

“Why missy, ayaw mo ba? Galing yan kay Pam.”

“So it’s an order huh?”

“It is. That will be your name when you’re on a mission. As you see,” I leaned closer to her… “Rose Sorority is a secret organization. Only the members know about its existence. Pati si Jarvis, hindi niya alam ang tungkol dito.”
