A/N: This chapter begins on the first night after Tess's captivity. The date is May 3rd, 2018, at 1:32 AM.
N I C O L E ' S P O V:
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, I woke up to screams and cries as I looked beside me Tess was having a nightmare, and I tried waking her, No budge.
Tess: Pl-please n-no! s-stop! Please....let me go...
TESS IS SOBBING, as I cradle her body trying to wake her as she wakes up and nuzzles her head on my chest.
Nicole: I got you. I'm here. I'm not going to let you out of my sight anymore.
I KISSED HER HEAD, as I stayed up and made sure she slept okay. as Tess spoke in her sleep.
Tess: Nikki?
Nicole: Yeah baby?
Tess: I'm scared, h-h-he m-might c-c-come b-back
Nicole: who...Chris Paulson?
Tess: N-n-no... n-not h-him...
AS TESS, fell back asleep I tried to get her to tell me who she was scared of. I laid down with her in my arms, with my face in her neck slowly closing my eyes and falling asleep too.
(The Next Morning)
MY ALARM WENTOFF, as my mom came in and woke me up and saw Tess sleeping peacefully on my chest. As I set up gently.
Iris: Ready for school sweetie?
Nicole: I guess Mom, what about Tess?
Iris: I'm going to pull her out of school and home-school her for the rest of junior year.
Nicole: Okay mom
Iris: get dressed okay baby girl?
I NOD, As my mom walked out, I got up and set Tess down and kissed her head and walked to my closet and put on a white baggy shirt and wore boxers and baggy pants and sag a little, as I put my football gear in my bag and hold as I walk back to my bed and get my stud earrings and put them in and wear a necklace. I kissed Tess's head one more time before going out of my room and downstairs and into the kitchen to see my parents. I went to grab a toast and butter it and put it in a toaster and grab the jelly and grab the toast and spread jelly on it and grab a water and went to sit at the table with my parents, as I ate.
Barry: You doing okay baby girl?
Nicole: Yes Dad.
Iris: I know you rather be with Tess, but you miss so much school.
Nicole: I know.
I FINISHED, eating and drank my water, slung my football bag over my shoulders, stood up, and threw away my trash. As I walk back to my parents.
Nicole: I think I'm going to walk to school.
Iris: You sure?
