N I C O L E ' S P O V:
I WAKE UP and see Tess is sleeping peacefully on my chest, she wearing one of my shirts that looks big on her with panties underneath, she so tiny compared to me, I'm curvy. I kissed her head and stroked her hair, as she gently woke up and smiled at me.
Nicole: Hey beautiful, sleep well?
SHE NODS, and nuzzles her face in my neck.
Nicole: it's Saturday.
I CLEARED MY THROAT and looked at her and she raised up and looked at me with innocence in her eyes.
Nicole: Your friend Aria sweet 16 is today... do you want to go?
Tess: (Stutters) I...I...d-don't t-think I-I'm r-ready...
Nicole: (softly) Hey...hey it's okay, baby you don't have to go. I won't go if you don't want me to leave you.
Tess: no, you go. I'll be fine..
Nicole: You sure?
Tess: I-I'm S-sure.
AS TESS LOOKED, down as I sat up and pulled her onto my lap, got strands of hair out of her face, and made her look at me, as I kissed her, she kissed back.
Nicole: You want to come downstairs to see my mom and dad and you eat something?
TESS NODS, and intertwines her fingers with mine. As we got up from my bed, I looked down at Tess and saw my shirt covering her tiny frame, I held her close as we walked downstairs and saw my parents already up and getting breakfast, as we went to join them, I went to the kitchen and grabbed two bowls and pour cereal in them and then milk and grab two spoons and then grabbed two cups and pour orange juice in it and took it back to the table and set one in front of Tess and I sit down beside her and eat my breakfast and drink some of my juice.
Nicole: Morning Mom, and Dad.
Iris: Morning Sweetie.
Barry: Good morning baby girls.
TESS WAS PLAYING, with her food and looking down, she had barely eaten since...As I swallow my food and reach to hold her hand and gently squeeze it.
Iris: Tess, honey are you ok?
Tess: I'm okay auntie.
Iris: Can you try and eat?
SHE NODDED, ate a few bites, and drank a little of her juice. As I held her hand and reassured her.
Nicole: hey mom...dad?
BOTH OF MY PARENTS speak in unison.
Iris & Barry: Yes?
Nicole: Tess's Friends sweet 16 is tonight can I go?
Iris: Sure why not, Tess honey do you want to go?
TESS SHAKES HER HEAD NO and looks down at her hands.
