Soulmates. Everybody had a soulmate, but not all were lucky enough to find them. They say it was like finding your other half, that you would feel whole. They were rare though, and some gave up hope over time of ever finding their soulmate.

One of these people was The Doctor. After losing his home, his family, his people, he gave up looking for his soulmate. He traveled the stars with his companion Rose, seeing amazing things and going on many dangerous adventures. But he wasn't prepared for what was about to happen next.

The Seer, one of the most isolated timelords, locked away for her "safety", never met many other time lords. She only met the highest and most important people on Gallifrey. Slowly crumbling away, and becoming a shell of who she once was, she gave up hope. Hope for freedom and hope for finding her soulmate. When the time war broke out, she saw it as an opportunity to escape. Escape from the high council, escape Gallifrey and finally be free. Oh how wrong she was. She ran, and did escape, but not without damage. Damage to her body and soul. She stole a broken up timepad and ran. She didn't care where she landed, she just wanted to get away. When she landed she didn't know where she was, she could barely speak. As she looked around, she saw what appeared to be alien relics on display. She must have landed in a museum of some sort. Turning on the spot and hoping to make sense of where she was, she suddenly saw some other people. They looked like guards and where slowly approaching her. She put her hands up, as if to surrender, but it did nothing and they stunned her. And with that she passed out.

Next time she awoke, she was in some sort of cell. She couldn't remember much. Looking down, she saw that she was chained to a wall. After all, she would never be truly free. And than began the torture. A man she learned was called Van Satten? or something, started to torture her with electrical shocks, and food shortage. All to get her to speak, but she refused. This continued for years, until finally a madman in a blue box set her free.
