Evaline thought she would be used to the rocky movements of the ship, however the sick feeling managed to lurk its way there. No wonder she preferred land over the blasted vessel.

She put a hand over her mouth, swallowing down the nausea. Never mind this trip. She wanted to go back! Arlo tapped a finger on her back and she jumped.

"I noticed you were struggling, Your Highness. Here, this might help," He put in her hand an unidentifiable piece. Putting it in her mouth, Ev grimaced at the sudden spice of the ginger but noticed that it did calm down her body.

She nodded at him, "Thank you, that helps."

"I understand about seasickness. I used to face it a lot. Those two don't understand however," He referred to Jasper and Leo to which she giggled.

"Yes, it seems like they can handle anything."

Arlo shook his head, "Not everything. Your Highness, did you know Jasper is afraid of spiders? He was not very happy wandering in the jungle this past week."

Spiders? Really? "What about Leo?"

"I will be beaten for telling you this so you never heard it from me. The General is deathly afraid of," he leaned in close, "mice."

"Mice? Really? But they're everywhere!"

"Haven't you noticed this ship is extremely clean in the corners? He makes sure of it. Mice. Remember that." Arlo chuckled before walking off.

Simple rodents, hm? This was going to be fun.

Evaline immediately went to work, weaving soft cloth together expertly. One thing she was proud of was her patience in figuring out what step was next. In her years of isolation, it came naturally to her. Finally, the finished product came together into the little animal. Yes, it wouldn't move but teasing him with it would prove to be a comedic scene.

Her fingers paused when she heard Jasper's voice yell from above the deck, "Land, ho!"

Immediately, she got up, and almost tripped over herself. For the past couple hours, she was distracted and therefore did not do her usual tradition of memorizing locations and their pathways to avoid falling. This was a different ship and its makings were different than the last one.

Leo came down and chuckled, pulling her up, "Are you alright?"

Dusting herself off, she nodded. "Yes. How did you know where I would be?

"I figured you would be clamoring your way here so I just came down the stairs to find you. My guess was right."

"I'm not that predictable!" Ev exclaimed but put her arm around his, allowing him to lead her to the deck. "What do you see?"

"In the distance, right now we can see the outline of gray mountains and a thin layer of fog covering them. If you look even closer, you can make out a kingdom as well. Perhaps that is where our target is."
