Falling in love after heartbreak

Luiza sat on her bed, laptop sitting in front her, she's thinking about her recent heartbreak, trying to figure out how to forget and move on. "Maybe writing about it will get all my feelings out" She said to herself, she thought it couldn't hurt, she didn't want to talk to anyone so maybe this was a way to get it all out. She made herself a cup of tea and sat back against the headboard making herself comfortable before grabbing her laptop ready to write. 

I know it hurts.

I'm sorry for the pain that is slowly paralyzing you, I'm sorry for the sadness coursing through your body, I'm sorry for the betrayal you feel. I'm sorry for the pain that stings you.

I tried for so long to protect you, to keep you tucked up, keeping you away from the pain of the world, I promised I would keep you safe, that I wouldn't let harm come your way, that we wouldn't let anyone in unless we wanted her to.

It all happened in the blink of an eye and we couldn't stop it, all of a sudden there was this new warmth in your life, your judgment and gut feeling went out the window, you were love struck, a new feeling you had never felt, a new kind of warmth that you welcomed. 

Piece by Piece your walls came down or maybe day by day your grew stronger, bigger and more confident, you asked yourself "Why shouldn't I take a chance?" "Maybe this time will be different". You couldn't be more wrong, but no matter the warnings I was sending, you weren't listening. 

It was a new light, one you have looked for, for so long, you finally found it, or so you thought. She was a shining light bringing you back to earth, making you feel special, like you were the only woman on earth, she looked at you like you were the stars. She took you too romantic places, showered you with gifts, made you feel like a princess and told you no matter what you would always be together. How wrong she was, she gave you false hope, and you soon learnt her true personality. 

You were 6 months in, wanting to celebrate with her, to show her how much she truly meant to you, you had this whole evening planned out, I was scared for you, you had no idea what was about to come and I couldn't stop the hurt you were about to endure. 

You planned the evening out, everyone was out so you had to house to yourself, you set up the fairy lights, lit some candles and dimmed the lights. You started cooking dinner whilst you waited for her, an hour had passed and there was nothing from her, you had finished dinner, waiting for her, but she wasn't answering texts or calls. You decided to blow out the candles, but dinner in the oven and go to her house.

2 bus rides later and you were standing out the front of her house, all the lights were out. her parents car was gone, "Did she forget out anniversary?" she went up to the front door and knocked but after a few minutes got no response, she was about to leave when she heard a noise from one of the bedrooms, she realized the door was unlocked and went it, she called out but got no response. She walked up the stairs, walking towards her bedroom, she slowly opened the door to see her girlfriend on top of someone else, she stood there frozen, not knowing what to do. Her girlfriend turned around with a shocked look on her face, she got off the other woman, running towards you, "This is not what it looks like" she said, You had tears forming in your eyes, "It looks exactly like what I think". She went to walk out but she was stopped by a hand on her arm, "Please don't walk out, I love you". "That's not what someone does to someone they love, I hope it was worth it" She said as went to leave she turned around and said "We're done, you two deserve each other".

Luiza walk back into her house after the long bus ride home, her parents were waiting in the kitchen, luiza walked in, "What happened Luiza, I thought you were celebrating your anniversary" her mother said. You couldn't say anything other than cry, your mother comforted you whilst you told her what happened, you both sat there talking about what happened. "You deserve better than that, your still young and you will find someone who deserves you, someone who will treat you with respect, kindness and will look at you with admiration, don't let this stop you from finding the one". All you could do was nod.

You went to sleep that night crying, wishing none of this ever happened. You woke up the next day, not wanting to do anything but lay in bed, but you know that would do you no good, so you got up and got ready to head to college, hoping you didn't run into her. You spent the day going to your classes and keeping to yourself, you finally told Duda and Carol what happened, they supported you and told you that you deserve so much better and someone will come along and you'll forget all about her.

You closed your laptop, needing to sleep for college tomorrow, writing it down made you feel a bit better knowing you've got it out, but your just hoping tomorrow can be a better day, with new hopes and dreams. You put your laptop down and slowly started to doze off, tomorrow will be a better day you say before falling asleep.
