Chapter 35: Miscommunication

Nika

It's been a few weeks since I've seen Jade. The last time I saw her she was very stressed out, and the dress shopping and fittings didn't help. Honestly it didn't help with my stress level either.

...Dress Shopping and Fittings...

Since we had that little moment in the locker room we were running late, so I am driving us to meet up with everyone at the dress shop. As we were walking to the car I just realized that I forgot to tell her what happened while she was doing her interviews. So I stopped in my tracks before we got to the car.

Jade- What's wrong?

Nika- I forgot to tell you that Paige found out about Carson's Daughter while you were doing interviews.

Jade- So she met Sophia?

Nika- Not really. There was arguing between Paige and Carson, and I just wanted you to know before we get to the shop.

Jade just nodded her head, before we got into car. We went and grabbed a sandwich before we headed to the dress shop. But once we got there everyone greeted us and hugged us while we apologized for being late.

I ended up sitting next to Paige while I waited until it was over. We watched as Riley found the perfect dress, and the bridesmaids were fitted for their dresses. But the drama didn't stop there, because all of a sudden Riley had Matt stand next to Jade.

(Whispering)

Paige- Why is Matt next to Jade?

Nika- I don't know, but I will definitely find out later. Anyways are you okay being here?

Paige- I didn't come here because of Carson and her daughter, I came here to support my friends.

Nika- Do you think you will talk it out with Carson or just move on?

Paige- I don't know Nika. It's just complicated.

Nika- I see the way you look at her, and I know you have feelings for her. So I am going to give you a little bit of advice. Finding someone who makes you feel the way you do for Carson doesn't come around often, so don't just walk away.

Paige just nodded and said that we would talk about this more later. Because right in that moment she couldn't open up with Carson being in the same room.

After that Jade and I left, and I could tell something was wrong. I didn't ask her about it until we got to the car and honestly I am very surprised and upset about what happened.

Apparently the reason why Riley had Matt standing next to Jade is because she is walking down the aisle with him and not Hayden.

Nika- I thought Hayden was Caden's best man?

Jade- Apparently Hayden decided that he shouldn't be the best man because he is on his bowling tour, and wouldn't be back until the rehearsal dinner. Which means Caden had to choose a new best man.

Nika- Why would he choose Matt? I thought he would have chosen Blake or Cody over Matt.

Jade- Me too, but it will be okay. I will be okay.

Nika- Are you sure?

Jade- I am just going to be the bigger person. Anyways I have you, so I am not scared of anything.

I smile at her and held her hand, but I knew that she was stressed out about pretty much everything that happened today.

...

Today is a big night for my team, because we are in playing in the final four tonight. Jade is coming to watch us once her game is over. I can't wait to see her tonight.
