Jade
As you can imagine I didn't sleep well after what happened last night. Plus I had to finally tell dad the truth of what happened, and I promise that it was a long conversation while he helped bandage me up. Luckily it was only a few small cuts and bruises on my face, shoulder, and side.
...
When we finished the conversation I could tell that he wasn't happy, but it wasn't just about the glass door. He is unhappy because of everything that she put me through.
When we walked back to the broken door, we picked up all the glass and threw it out so no one would get hurt and step on it. After that I helped him take the broken door off the track and helped him carry it to the garage. Luckily he keeps a spare glass sliding door in the garage, so we don't have to find away to seal of the broken door.
After that my dad went back to bed, and Hachi and I went to bed too. I looked at the time and decided not to message Nika because it's late and I don't want to worry her, so I just laid there trying to figure out what I am going to do.
...
So yeah I didn't sleep well, and I woke up sore. Luckily Hayden picked up Hana from Ball State because that means I could have her drive my truck back to campus, because I don't think I could after everything.
I decided to start getting up. I let Hachi out and while he did that I changed and got ready for the ride back to Ball State. Once I finished and let Hachi back in and fed him, I decided to FaceTime Nika. I knew that I needed to tell her about the accident, before I tell a lie to the media. Which she answered pretty quickly and she had the biggest smile on her face until she saw the cut and bruises on my face.
Nika- Oh my gosh what happened? Who did it to you? Are you okay?
I'm okay Nik, it looks worse than it is. I promise that I will be okay.
Nika- So how did it happen?
I need you to promise me that you will not get upset.
Nika- You know that I can't promise you that.
Okay than promise me that you will not make a big deal about it. I took care of it and I am going to lay low for a little while until I go to the UConn v Ball State game.
Nika- You are starting to worry me, so just tell me.
Okay well I need you to understand that I kept this to myself for a while because I really don't want to be in another situation like this again. I actually started to go to my therapist twice a week, because the whole love triangle was starting to become way too much. And Sky wasn't making it easy for me at all. (Starts crying) It started to feel just like my relationship with Matt. It started out with her being glued to my hip, and then every time you were brought up and I talked about you. Sky would hit me and act like I was cheating on her with you. She never hurt me to the point I had to go to the hospital or it effecting my playing ability, but it just felt like deja vu.
Nika- So Sky has been hitting you and you are just now telling me? I would have stopped her. I would have protected you.
I know you would have, but I didn't want the media to find out. Plus things got better since I got Hachi. Hachi doesn't even like her, and he protected me from her. She only hurt me twice since I have Hachi, but this last time was the worse and last time she will ever hurt me.
Nika- What did she do to you?
It was right after the post-game press conference, and everyone else left or went to bed. So it was just me, Hachi, and Sky left. She followed me to the back where I opened the glass sliding door to let Hachi out before we headed to bed. The moment I shut the sliding door and faced Sky she slapped me so hard across the face that I knew it was going to leave a bruise. She then started to pace and making it sound like I was cheating. She was basically saying that I was supposed to be with her at the end of this. And then I finally just couldn't hold back my feelings anymore and said that this love triangle wasn't real. I told her that I would never be with her, because I was madly in love with you Nika.
