Chapter 19: The Apology

The moment Sky's fist connected with Jade's face, I went into a state of shock. I didn't expect Jade to jump in front of me and take that punch for me. I caught her before she completely hit the floor, and Sky just kept on apologizing.

I was trying to see how bad it was, but Jade just wouldn't stop hiding her face from everyone. I told her to let me see, so I could see if she is okay. But all she said was...

Jade- I am okay just get me out of here.

In that moment I picked her up, and walked out of the club. Everyone was staring at us as we left, and the rest of the team followed us out. The reporters and photographers were still outside when we walked out the door, so now I know what the headline story is going to be tomorrow.

When we finally made it to the car, Sky also hopped in and started to apologize again. Honestly Jade is the most forgiving person I know because she said that it was okay and she forgives her. I grabbed some tissues from the glove box to help with her bloody nose.

Then we were off to the dorms for the night. When we got back, I helped her inside and guided her to the kitchen. Sky was still following us and she grabbed the ice pack from the freezer. She handed the ice pack to Jade and Jade held it to her eye that will definitely be black in the morning.

Jade- I am going to say this one time to the both of you. This can never happen again. I can't have you guys arguing and throwing punches. I also don't want you to force me to kiss you Sky. I know how you feel about me but I don't feel the same.

Sky- I know and it will never happen again. And I know I started it because I crossed the line and I threw the punch. I am just so sorry Jade. I never wanted to hurt you.

Jade- I will be okay, but you know that is going to be trending tomorrow morning. Our managers and coaches are not going to be happy about it, and you never know what the media and fans will say about it.

I think we need to be united, and we will probably have to make a statement. I will apologize for calling you a publicity seeker Sky.

Sky- And I will apologize for crossing the line, and throwing the punch.

And Jade you can tell your side of the story. Hopefully we can fix this. Otherwise it definitely doesn't look good for me and Sky.

Sky- You can say that again. I think we should message our managers and coaches. Maybe we can make our statements sooner rather than later.

Jade- We can try but I think we won't get to until I get back to Ball State. Because I have to be at the airport at 9am.

Sky- Same I guess we will have to do it when we get back to Ball State. Well I will meet you here in the morning and then we can ride to the airport together.

Jade- Sounds like a plan. I will see you in the morning.

And with that Sky leaves, so it's just me and Jade. She is sitting on the counter so I stepped in between her legs and wrapped my arms around her waist.

Are you sure you are okay?

Jade- As okay as I can be. I think that I am just going to go clean up and start to pack up my stuff.

Do you need any help?

Jade- No I will be okay, but I will meet you when I am done.

Okay, but just know that I am here.

And with that Jade kissed me and I helped her off the counter. I watched her walk towards the bathroom, before I even decided to leave the kitchen.

I'm just going to be completely honest and say that I am scared. I can't lose her again. She means everything to me. I love her with all of me. If I lose her I lose a big part of me. I'm going to fight for her.
