Fire Bird

Chapter 4

Dabi went to the League's kitchen next. The house he took Akiya to was nothing but a hideout home the league shelters in throughout the city. Abandoned homes that no one ever cares about, just like the League itself. They served as temporary stays when escaping from a pro or the police. They didn't have food in those, so he needed to stock up. The last thing he needed was his newfound omega to starve to death.

The fire quirk user cringed inwardly at his newfound feeling of caring for another person. Just a few days ago he would kick his own ass for thinking such stupid thoughts. For his plan in life, there was no room for anyone else. So then why did he take the omega?

Dabi paced in the kitchen back and forth, having an internal battle of whether he should continue on this path, or grab the damn bitch and throw her at Shigaraki. Every time the thought crossed his mind, his body would tense and the alpha within him tremble with anger. Not once in his life had he acknowledged his sub gender, he thought of it more of a nuisance than an advantage. However, if the omega did somehow make him stronger, maybe he could fulfill his plans a lot faster.

A deep sigh rolls through his lips. No, his plans were suicidal, and if he had a mate to worry about, then he would surely fail.

Gripping the pantry door tightly, Dabi made up his mind. He'll entertain himself with the omega for a bit, then he'll dump her off somewhere.

He began grabbing a few items and putting them in a trash bag. As he was doing this, he suddenly felt a body behind him. When he snapped his head around, he saw Toga standing there with a smirk on her face.

"What are you doing?" She questions innocently, her toothy smirk widening in question.

He scowls at her. "Food's spoiled. Just clearing it out," he replies smoothly.

Her tongue reaches out and licks her teeth. "We just bought it last week. Want to try again?"

Dabi turns a heated glare to the blond woman. "You must have misread the labels cuz all of this shit is expired," he growls through gritted teeth, hoping she'd catch the hint and leave it alone.

"I'll just take it out for you," she says, moving to grab the bag.

Dabi lets out a growl and yanks it away from her grasp. "I got it," he snaps. "Will you just leave me alone? It's none of your business what I am doing!"

Toga lets out a giggle. "You're hiding something! Is it a girlfriend?"

Dabi's pale skin grows warm at the mention of a girlfriend, whether it be in embarrassment or irritation. "No, and if you keep bothering me, then the only thing I'll be hiding is your body."

Toga jumps away with a laugh, spinning in circles as her hair bounces. "Dabi has a girlfriend! Ooh, I wonder if she's nice, oh I bet she tastes pretty tasty—"

She was suddenly grabbed by the collar of her schoolgirl uniform and pushed up against the kitchen cabinet by a very angry Dabi. "I do not have a girlfriend. Just give it a rest already! I have someone, but not a girlfriend. I'm using her. But nothing concerning the league."

Her eyes grow wide in excitement. "Is it for ransom? Is she a pro's daughter? Oh, please tell me it's a pro's daughter!" She jumps up and down in excitement.

Dabi knew that this psychopath of a girl was never going to leave him alone, and it would be best to keep it under wraps versus having her run off to tell Shigaraki what he was doing.
