When i first said those words

when i first said those words
they weren't as a joke
not as a thought
not as a question
but in a way of imagery without explanation

in a way of words that no true person thinks
but in a way in which my heart whispers, not wanting to break

i stare at you
you're beautiful and gorgeous face
the way you laugh
you're tantalizing smile
your beautiful hair
taking it all in as if it was a sign that someone could truly be mine

i smile and think
wanting everything to disappear but us
knowing that if i trust you enough
my heart wont stop but for a beat

when i first said those words
smiling as i typed
scared for what was to come
thinking if i messed up, youd leave

but now i know, you're not that type of person
you wont leave me in desperation
you wont leave me in the ash
youll save me without a second thought

youll comfort me
youll make me smile
youll make me laugh
youll get the real and true me to come back

when i first said those words
i knew we would last
i knew we'd stick together, not letting anything pass

so with the love in my heart
with the smile on my face
with this so-called perfect timing not breaking
my three words to you
the words that never lie
my three words to the soul i dont want to die

i love you, my darling
i want you forever
i want until the end of every December
youll be mine and ill be yours
