(outside of story)]

Sunny was gasping for air. Apparently flying as fast as possible meant that "You would get tired just as fast." Something Sunny just learned the hard way; but then again she was kind of 'spotted' while trying to escape silently, so she had to loose them. "Why does Burn *gasp* have to *gasps again*  want us dead *gasps a third time* anyways?" she questioned out loud as she dryly swallowed before deciding she needed a drink. Luckily, she heard some running water nearby.

She quickly scrambled over to and find a river, wasting no time gulping mouthfuls of water but as she drank from the cool mountain stream, she heard the wingbeats of 5 (no.. 6.) dragons and scrambled into the tree line just narrowly avoiding being caught by the 6 soldiers as they flew by. Sunny had to hold in a snort as she suddenly thought 'is this how Drought felt?' ('Drought' was the protagonist of Sunny's favorite story. She was a night-sand hybrid trying to survive in the war with her friends, but was separated from them when they were captured by the evil tyrant, Queen Scarlet, and had to escape and try to find her friends again.)

Sunny instantly broke into laughter when she realized that she was in the same situation as her favorite character. (Even down to why she was captured! Well except the fact that Drought was a hybrid and Sunny wasn't.)

'Crap'  was her next thought as she turned her head up but there was no one there "Tank the moons they're gone" she breathed

"I think it would be smart to follow the river that's what Clay would say... right?" she questioned in hushed tones "No Starflight would say it would be faster to fly, but then Glory would agree with Clay, but Tsunami would agree with Starflight." she could honestly hear the fight that would ensue and she would have given anything to be there when it happens eventually. A thought crossed her mind "Missing my friends isn't going to solve anything." Sunny said aloud 'that's what Drought said' she finished in her head 'I think following the river is the best play' she decided *covering herself in mud* "How do mudwings live in this?" she wined but made herself go though with her plan and followed the river downstream.

"West, this stream goes to the desert" she realized on the second day of travel 'maybe I should go to the scorpion den' she thought 'wait isn't that place filled with criminals' a part of her argued back 'well yes, but I do remember Dune telling Kestrel that my egg was from there... and that he knew my mother personally' she thought darkly 'so what are we just going to go there and ask around about Dune that's just stupid' it argued back 'no, I am going to covertly gather information about him without reveling that I know him' she decided.

After a few more days of travel Sunny finally reached the edge of the sky-kingdom and was free to fly to the rest of the way to the scorpion den 'wait didn't Drought go to the scorpion den too' and she chuckled at the thought.

Strangely she found some scavengers just leaving some gold at a sort of shrine 'well... might as well take it with me if they're just leaving it behind' she thought she did find it strange though she decided having a little bit of cash would be a good idea.
