(spoilers for wings of fire book 5: the brightest night I honestly thought I would get Sunny in the scorpion den last chapter but that didn't happen anyways enjoy)

  'the scorpion den' Sunny thought 'my family should be here' *she floated down to the gate* (Sunny had decided to use the front gate there were some dragons there they didn't look like soldiers she thought they must have been part of a gang but she wanted to stay on everyone's good side).

  "Everyone has to pay to get in" explained one of the dragons at the gate "I figured that much" Sunny retorted "how much?" "what do you have?" they questioned *Sunny raised a bag of gold in response* "5 gold or 20 silver" they relucted *Sunny dug out the gold and handed it to them* "go on" *they waved her to proceed* 'now to find who Dune stole me from' she thought entering.

   It wasn't long before Sunny found her first clue, a wanted poster which said:

but it was a picture of Dune's face that intrigued her

 if you know any thing about the whereabouts of Dune of the sandwings, Marrowseer or Stonemover of the nightwings please contact Thorn of the sandwings

and there were pictures of Dune, Marrowseer, and another nightwing that Sunny didn't recognize but assumed was stonemover.

  "So I take it that you recognize them" someone stated behind her *she whirled around to face them* "what" she responded "The way you were looking at it" he clarified "it suggests that you.. at least have met one of them... so how do you know them?" he questioned *Sunny gulped* "I've met two of them before" she stated slowly "but that was awhile ago and I don't know about their current whereabouts" she continued with the half-truth "why do you care anyways?" Sunny questioned

  *he barked a laugh* "Qibli of the outclaws" he introduced himself "Thorn would just so happen to be the leader of said gang." Qibli paused to let Sunny register "Meaning I really care about that." 'dang it just my luck' she thought

  "Oh" *he hit his head* "before I forget is that talent or skill?" "what" "I mean honestly if I were anyone else you could have had me fooled" he continued "I mean you can even hold eye contact while you do it" there was a short pause before she replied "skill"weakly realizing what he was talking about

  "So why are you protecting them?" Qibli questioned a little more coldly then before "I wasn't protecting them" Sunny defended herself "I was protecting myself" "understandable" he retorted *shrugging his shoulders*

  "it was a given that you would be a little on edge I mean not every day you find out that half the world wants you dead" he said almost jokingly *Sunny takes a step back* 'how does he know' she wondered "What, a random sandwing shows up at the scorpion den looking for her family and the word on the street is that the dragonets of destiny just escaped from queen scarlet" he stated "and that the wings of sand were last seen going east and the rest west, so common sense would say your said dragonet... am I wrong?" "So they got out?" Sunny stated *she smiled a little* "Yes, but back to the matter at hand(talon?)" Qibli stated "right" Sunny agreed "why don't we go tell Thorn" he suggested

  (the following events went about the same as canon minus the murderess nightwings and Sunny doesn't know that Morrowseer dies, sorry this took awhile to make school just started back up from the holidays)
