Queen Mary

Chapter I

I am Bianca Blair. I am twenty-one years old and a medium. I have known this since I was a young child, and have been growing into my gift since I found out. The story behind it is dark and I don't share it with many people. I'm pretty laid back, spending most of my time reading or watching YouTube videos. Occasionally I go to parties with friends, but since it's been getting colder we haven't been going.

I am on social media platforms, mainly TikTok. As I wake up and reach for my vape, my phone beeps. I pick it up and the notification is from TikTok, my favorite You Tuber! Colby Brock! He and his best friend Sam Golbach run a YouTube channel together going to haunted locations around the world and doing investigations. I immediately open the app, and check the messages.

"Hi Bianca! Sam and I have seen your videos, and would love it if you would accompany us at our final investigation of the Queen Mary ship! We're planning to go in a week or so and stay for 3 days, so my apologies for the late notice. Please get back to me when you can!"

Oh. My. God! The Queen Mary ship was the location they claimed changed their lives and views on the paranormal, and they asked me to go with them for their final visit! I have to go, even if it means taking the week off of work and school. I write back immediately.

"Hey, I would be more than happy to join you guys! Let me know when you want to meet and I'll be there!" I added my phone number so they could reach me as I have to work today and won't be on the app much.

I can't believe this is happening! I get out of bed, and realize it's almost noon, which means I have half an hour until I'm supposed to be to work. I quickly put on some decent clothes and grab my car keys. I work as a mechanic at Bullet Towing. I get in my truck and connect to Bluetooth, since I've installed my subs I don't go anywhere without music.

I pull out of my driveway and decide I need coffee. There's a gas station about a mile up the road from my place, and the coffee is pretty good most days. I pull into the parking lot and run inside to buy a coffee, almost spilling it. I return to my car and get in. When I do, my phone is ringing. It's an Unknown number Face timing me. I answer it, and behold it's Sam and Colby!

"Hey Bianca! We just wanted to go over the details of the trip and ask you a few questions." Sam says.

"Yeah, absolutely, I'm all ears!" I reply, trying to hold back the huge smile.

"Sweet! So basically the Queen Mary is a haunted ship, we've visited there a few times already, but the viewers requested we go back one more time." Colby says, chuckling a little.

"I know," I say laughing. "I've been watching your videos for years. Queen Mary are some of my favorites." I say with a shy smile. I can feel my cheeks heating up. The truth is, I've been fascinated by Colby specifically for years. I never thought I'd actually get to meet him. He's cute, funny, and unbelievably hot. He has this fluffy black hair that falls above his beautiful blue eyes. He's covered in tattoos, and his style only adds to the attractiveness.

"Oh, no shit? That's so cool! So you already kind of know the drill then?" He asked me.

"For the most part yes," I say with a grin. "What questions do you have for me?"

"Well, we mainly need to know if you've had much personal experience with the paranormal, or if it's something you've observed," Sam says politely. Sam has blonde fluffy hair, and big blue eyes as well. But he's almost the exact opposite of Colby physically.

"Actually, I'm a medium!" I say excitedly. They both look shocked when I say this.

"No way, we had no idea, so what are some of your most memorable experiences?" Colby asks.

"Well, when I found out about it was something else for sure, but other than that they've all become kind of normal to me. I will say the scary ones are probably the most memorable though. I've also helped the deceased talk to their loved ones so they can pass over." The both of them have the most serious looks on their faces.

"What kind of scary experiences have you had? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, we're genuinely curious." Colby says, still with a serious but calm expression.

"Well, most of the scary stuff deals with demonic or malevolent spirits. Things that have never walked the earth in human form. I've experienced physical touch from them, heard voices, and seen things. The experiences vary based on what kind of entity I'm dealing with. One of the most terrifying was probably in my own apartment. I had just gotten home from work, and I'd been used to seeing things and hearing things in my apartment, so that wasn't too alarming. What was was when I got out of the shower and when I went to my bedroom, something was standing in front of my bed by my dresser. It was a tall, black figure, the smell in my room was horrible, and it almost looked like it was smiling." I paused for a moment before continuing. "I had asked it who it was, knowing it was demonic or worse. It gave me a name, but I'm hesitant to say it. It feels like when I say its name it comes around more often. But I lunged at me and I felt a burning across the right side of my body, and then it disappeared."

Sam and Colby looked petrified. Sam was just staring at me, while Colby was covering his mouth with his hand.

"No freakin' way dude, that's insane! You said when you say its name it appears? So you still see it then?" Sam asked, Colby nodding his head.

"Yes, but it's just more often when I mention it. I honestly think it doesn't like me because I help people. And as a negative entity, it doesn't like that. That's the only time it's ever touched me, but when I do see it it will say things to me, but I choose to believe that it's just to scare me." I say with a chuckle. I notice the time and realize I now only have 10 minutes to get to work. "But hey guys, I'mma be late for work, so I'll give you a call later if that's alright?" I say to them, I feel bad leaving them hanging like that, but I do need to go to work.

"Yeah, no worries! We'll talk to you later then!" We say goodbye and end the call. I drive to work and pull up the first appointment. I pull the car in, but as I'm working on it, all I can think about is Sam and Colby, mainly Colby.
