Queen Mary

Chapter XVII

When we land, Bianca is laying on my chest over the plane seat. I've woken from the plane turbulence from landing, and somehow she's still asleep. And the guys say I'm a heavy sleeper. This girl can sleep haha. It's probably for the best I wake her up, before the flight attendant does.

"Hey Bianca, we're landing," I tell her. She doesn't even budge. I decide to kiss her, which definitely wakes her up. When she does, she smiles and kisses me back. "We're landing, thought I'd make sure you're awake," I tell her. She yawns before smiling and nodding at me. "You're fuckin' adorable when you're sleepy," I chuckle. 

"Mmmm no haha, but thank you," She says. 

"There's no point in saying no, he ain't gonna listen haha," Corey chuckles. Everyone laughs, and once we land the flight attendant motions that we can leave our seats and grab our things. We all leave the plane, still tired from just waking up. As we walk out of the terminal, I see Jake and Johnnie in front of us to the side a little ways from us. Jake places his hand on the small of Johnnie's back as they walk, and they share a heartwarming look to each other. Makes me wonder if something happened on the plane while we were all asleep. I get distracted by the smell of food and realize I'm starving. 

"Are you hungry?" I ask Bianca, and her eyes light up which tells me, yes she is. "We can stop somewhere once we get the rental car and find something ya like. Sounds good?"

"Yea," She says with a smile. "Sorry, I'm still trying to wake up," 

"All good. We just gotta get the rest of our bags from baggage and we'll head out," I tell her, sliding my arm over her shoulders. She leans her head on my arm while we make our way to our bags. Once all of us have gathered our things we head to the exit and the car rental lot right off the airport. We get our rental, a Chevrolet Malibu. Which means the guys will be pretty squished in the back, but we didn't have time to plan in advance and another car would put us way over budget. Sam gets in on one side, Corey in the middle, and Jake with Johnnie on his lap behind Bianca. 

Once we get to Queen Mary, the tension in the car rises. I think everyone, myself included, is nervous about this whole trip. Which nothing less was expected given our previous experiences here. This place changed our lives and views on the paranormal. Corey didn't even want to come back, but I know he wants us to be okay and this was the easiest way for him to make sure that happens. We park right out front of the place, making sure the car is close in case anything happens and we need to leave. All of us pile out of the car and grab our belongings that were crammed in the trunk and on the floor in the back and the passenger seat. As we make our way to the front doors, no one says a word. Even Bianca is quiet, sharing reassuring looks to all of us. We stop just before walking through the doors, and Bianca takes a deep breath.

"I know this is terrifying for you guys. I haven't had the same experience you've had here and I don't fully understand everything you're feeling cause I'm not you. But this could be the start to a whole new world of understanding for you guys. It's dangerous for sure, but we have a plan for if it gets to a point where we are in physical danger, and we have preventative measures to try our best to make sure it doesn't happen," She pauses for a moment and I take her hand in mine.

"ya'll don't know me very well. But I'll do my best to be here for support and whatever you guys need to help with this whole thing," She smiles and turns towards me. I smile back at her and take a step towards the door.

"Thank you Bianca," Sam says, I can hear the anxiety in his voice. We make our way through the lobby and to the desk to check in. The guy behind the desk looks familiar, probably from being here before. He looks at us as he check us in and he seems to recognize us as well. 

"You guys have been here before right? Like a few times," He says with a slight chuckle, and we all share a look with each other.

"Yea, it's been a while though. We just wanted to come back to get the answers we never got before," I say.

"Man you'd think after the stuff that's happened you'd give this place up for good,"

"Well the plan was to never come back here, but we have a new asset to our team," I nod towards Bianca and she waves. "Figured maybe having a medium could help with the overall in investigation and figuring out exactly whats going on here," I say.

"Well hopefully you get all the answers you're searching for. But I have your room keys ready for you guys. Three rooms, there's the B340, but the other two rooms are on a different floor as we couldn't book all of them together. Is that okay? I can cancel the B340 and put you in a room with the other two," He says. All of us go quiet for a moment and then I answer him.

"No that's alright. We'll be okay but thank you," Sam looks at me shocked. We take the room keys and find the other two rooms. It's decided that Bianca and I will be staying in B340 since she's a medium and it makes sense that out of all of us I'd share a room with her.

"Are you sure you're okay staying in that room Bianca?" Sam asks.

"Yea, I've faced worse, haha" She says. Worse than this? I chuckle under my breath quietly, she's literally perfect.

"Well if you need anything you'll have Colby and we're just two floors away and I'm sure we could make something work if you guys can't sleep in there," He says. I nod to him. We go to Sam and Corey's room first to check things out. It's a nice room, but it's still eerie simply because of the location. I pull a camera out to start filming.

"Hey guys, we made it to Queen Mary and we're checked in. For this visit though, we did book three different rooms to sleep in but we'll probably be together aside from when we're sleeping. Currently, we are in Sam and Corey's room which is on the first floor, and Jake and Johnnie's room is the next room down the hall. As you guys know, that leaves room B340, which is on the third floor. That is also the room Bianca and myself are sleeping in, so wish us luck haha," I pan the camera over the room and everyone looks at the camera for a moment. It doesn't take long before we're laughing and joking around. I turn the camera and stand next to Sam.

"Yes guys, so we are here and checked in as Colby said. I'm still not sure how everyone feels about having three separate rooms but I really don't think all of us will fit in one room, and not all of us are comfortable sleeping in room B340. The really concerning thing is having my best friend two floors away in the most haunted room at this location, which is also the same room that changed our lives. But Bianca will be in there with him which does bring me some comfort knowing he has someone experienced and gifted so he's not alone and this is a person we trust," Sam says. 

"How are you guys feeling?" I point the camera towards Jake, Corey and Johnnie.

"I mean I'm terrified, but I'm bunkin' with Sam, and I'm not in B340, so I guess it could be way worse. I really just kinda feel bad for you bro like that's concerning that you guys are staying in that room alone," Corey says. Sounds like Corey, he's always been more logical than the rest of us when it comes to this shit. While we want to do the scary, risky shit, Corey is driven by reason and the will to live haha.

"Yea, I mean I'm chillin. But this stuff's never affected me like it does with you guys. Sure like it's scary but no one's every really gotten hurt on these investigations or anything," Jake says. I'm still not really sure where Jake sits with the whole paranormal thing. While the rest of us are firm believers, Jake seems almost un-phased by it each time. 

"Honestly, I'm kind of excited about the actual investigation aspect of the whole thing. I'm not really sure how to feel about the rest of it just yet," Johnnie says.

"Well guys, we have plans in case something happens and we need to leave, but hopefully it doesn't get to that point. But we're going to head to Jake and Johnnie's room so they can drop off their stuff and then head up to B340. See you guys soon," I say before turning the camera off. Sam and Corey set their stuff down and we leave their room.
