Backlash

That vision I saw back in Elyse's office raced through my head as I kept running through the trees to get home and anger started to boil through my veins.

' ...I was standing in the living room with Desiree and Lydia as dad kept typing and calling who knows what...then I heard the name and I tried stopping it.

"Wait, don't!" I shouted.

I was shoved across the room by Desiree then and my back smashed into the couch. Each time I tried getting back up to stop it, Lydia would get in my way and shove me back into it, causing slight pain to race up and down my spine.

It went on for hours and dad finally finished what he was doing. I sat there on the floor, staring up at them as they circled around me and their eyes filled with hate.

"I can't believe you tried stopping dad! He knows what he's doing!" Desiree snapped.

"You are so fucking stupid, Lilith!" Lydia added.

I said nothing, just kept staring and dad finally spoke, his voice sending fear up my already aching spine.

"My sweet, Lilith...if you EVER try doing something like that again, you'll be sorry. I'm a very good business man and when other businesses get in my way, they pay for it just like the Kim's did."

I didn't know what to feel, I was scared, angry and lost. I only nodded as dad, Desiree and Lydia left me sitting there and vanished out of my sight...'

Faster and faster I ran through the trees, fighting that vision back out of my mind again but it wouldn't leave me alone.

"Damn it, fucking damn it! It just HAD to be Kim Taehyung that I ran into, it just had to be!"

I kept screaming and shouting out my feelings as I finally made it back home, took a deep breath and walked back into the house. Desiree and Lydia were waiting for me on the couch in the living room as they turned to me and our eyes locked.

Desiree was the oldest, Lydia the second and me being the youngest. Desiree and I have crimson hair as Lydia has more of a red umber color to hers and all of our eyes are amber colored. We get our looks from mom and our facial features from dad.

"Why are you guys looking at me like that?"

"How was work, Lilith?" Lydia asked.

"Run into anybody today?" added Desiree.

I lied, "No, I didn't why would I? I've been in the office all day working on stuff for Elyse."

They studied me as I started getting anxious, fighting back what I felt today.

They can't find out...they can't.

"You sure? You seem very flustered." Desiree said again.

"It's been a long fucking day, Desiree! How do you want me to feel?!"

She rolled her eyes, got up from the couch and walked over to me with Lydia following behind. Ever so slowly, they walked in a circle around me, making me feel more and more uncomfortable and almost break.

They stopped then, crossed their arms under their breasts and stared back at me with haunting eyes, my heart rate spiked.

"You're hiding something...I can sense it." Lydia said.

"Me too but I can't read her mind...something's blocking it." Desiree added.

"Doesn't her vision shit do that? Or am I crazy?" Lydia said again.

"It doesn't...something or someone blocked it and I can't figure it out!"

"UGH! You are so annoying Lilith! I hate that dad left us to babysit your sorry ass."
