Midnight Blood Pt. 1

Lilith squeezed my hand tight as we ran through the trees to meet up with her Mom. The rest of the guys would be there not too long after, they just don't want to show up all at once and throw off Lilith's Dad.

I squeezed her hand back as we kept running and looked over at her. She's been acting weird all day...even her heart beat is out of control. I know she's scared but why do I keep hearing two heartbeats?

I tried asking her earlier this morning what was up but she said it was nothing and kept turning her focus on her Dad. She caught me looking at her, turned and my cheeks flushed. Something about the wind in her crimson hair, flowing in the autumn wind made her look more beautiful than ever.

"Taehyung?"

I quickly turned away, "Sorry...you looked really beautiful and I had to look."

She squeezed my hand again, "Are you still worrying about me?"

"I can't help it, Lilith...There's something you're not telling me..."

She said nothing, only squeezed my hand once again and took off through the trees. About halfway to her Dad's corporate building, we came to a sudden stop and jumped down from the tree tops to the ground.

Soon as our feet hit the ground, she let go of my hand and threw herself at me. I caught her waist as she put her arms around my neck and pressed her forehead against mine.

"I can't tell you yet, okay Taehyung?"

"But why, Lilith? Is it bad or something? Did one of the guys turn on you, 'cause if they did-"

She stopped me with kiss, "No, nothing like that. Please just trust me?"

I hesitated for a split second, gave a small smile and lifted my forehead off of hers. I brought my free hand to her cheek, caressed it with my thumb and looked deep into her eyes.

"Okay. But you better tell me after all of this, I mean it."

She smiled, "I will, I love you."

"I love you too." and she kissed me.

Sudden rustles from the tree tops caught our attention and she pulled back. Her cheeks flushed crimson as her Mom jumped down, went ahead of us and gave a small smile.

"I swear you two can't keep off each other, even when I'm around." she said.

"MOM!"

"I'm not judging you, honey. Your Dad and I were once like that..."

"Really?" I asked.

She nodded, "Yes. Trust me, I know he may not seem like it but he did get three beautiful daughters from it."

"What happened?"

Lilith cut in, "Money and power...that's what. Dad became obsessed with it and led Desiree and Lydia down that same path."

"You know they were also half human and vampire too, right Taehyung?"

My eyes went wide, "Wait, they were? When?"

Lilith's Mom gave her a look as she shrugged her shoulders and turned back to me.

"I see Lilith didn't tell you...they were just like her. But once they turned twenty-one, Ken changed them."

"And their powers increased as did their power hungry needs...All thanks to my Dad." Lilith said.

"Wow...I'm so glad that Yoongi, I and the others aren't like that at all. We just kept fighting with all we had and it kept us up at the top."
