Taehyung arrived a little late at office next morning. He hummed his way through the hallway; his demeanor a little cheerful very unlike the metallic calm he wears everyday. He indulged in jokes with a few his employees, making them question the direction of earth's rotation today and finally after when he entered his room, he straightened out the tie and took his chair; his very throne feeling nothing less than an emperor.
Looking out at the rushing city below from the glass window, a smirk appeared on his face.
Park Jimin arrived not later than five minutes to update his boss about today's work. He kept his tab on the table, placed his hands on the sides and leaned in to glare at Taehyung.
"Did it work?"
Taehyung, who was busy enjoying the reminiscence of yesterday evening responded to his best friend with the evilest grin out there. Jimin reciprocated that immediately, understanding the message and both boys broke out laughing loudly.

Last evening:)
"Kim Taehyung! I will not repeat twice! Get ready!"
The sound of his mother screaming from the ground floor did nothing to startle the peace in his mind. He scrolled through social media, picking his nose, laying weird on his bed in boxers, minding his own business.
The girl's party is to arrive within a few hours and his parents were hell bent on making a grand feast for their welcome. They were the distributor his mother talked about and when Taehyung had researched about them he wanted to kiss his mother's brain. These people covered a territory where the popularity of Celeste's merchandise was a little below the level but according to Taehyung, business can be expanded without selling children out to marriage too.
A phone call arrived from Jimin's number and Taehyung jumped up, running inside the bathroom.

"Now don't be shy Mr. Ahn, these babies came right out of my golden hands!" Mrs. Kim forwarded the bowl of cheese balls to the man who politely refused to take anymore even though he wanted to.
"This empire you've built up, shows how much of a hard work and talent you've put on... Both of you..." Mr. Ahn remarked and Taehyung suppressed his snicker at the expression his dad gave for being included with his mother.
"We also expect nothing less than your lovely son!"
"Oh, indeed!" Mr. Kim said, "He's thriving in the company and vice versa! After all, you have to see who's the guidance here!"
Taehyung rolled his eyes and made sure the girl noticed it.
She has been a little fidgety after the arrival. The red tint on her cheek hasn't left since the moment she has made the first eye contact with him and he should quite blame that on his ridiculously handsome face and the wine coloured suit, Taehyung thought while checking out his nails.
Her hair was at a length which Taehyung liked; but the fact that she's doing nothing on her own for her career turned him off. She was pretty, even if he argues against the best, but beauty is of no use without brain because otherwise she would have caught onto the hint his mother made regarding her fashion sense and retorted.
And Taehyung really doesn't like people who are not up to the level of his own intelligence.
Secondly, the father-
Taehyung smiled back at the girl who tucked her hair behind her ear with pressed lips.
The father seems a little too desperate here. He has made most of his conversation with the groom's parents so it indicates his interest resides more into the business and not on his daughter's happiness. Honestly, if he had known better he wouldn't have agreed given Taehyung's reputation in the community. He scrunched up his nose a little thinking that if his father tells him to merge their company, the man will do that too for money and fame.
