"No."
"No?"
"Uh-oh. Absolutely not."
Jimin let down the dumbbells on his side and sat up from his inclined position.
"But hyung, everything is fair in love and war!"
"That's bullshit. Whoever came up with that must have been high at that moment."
"Well..." Jimin pursed his lips.
Namjoon started his next reps. Jimin sipped from his energy drink and dabbed the sweat away with the towel, throwing it aside. He looked at how the elder's honey dipped muscles flexed at every rep he made and with the tiniest bit of envy in his mind, Jimin imagined his obliques doing the same under the illuminated lights and hip hop beats.
The city lights flickered kaleidoscopic patterns on the thick glass wall of the gym floor. Jimin thought about skipping the rest of his upper body workout because, well, his mind was feeling too preoccupied with the upcoming works for the fashion show as well as the matters with the court. Two time and energy consuming issues were going on simultaneously, so Jimin had taken up the responsibility of the fashion show conduction completely on his own shoulders, letting Taehyung handle the legal matters peacefully. Jungkook had already finalized his designs after modifying it for over a dozen times; and the trials runs have also started following the production of the first batch.
Jimin noticed the reflection of a girl on the treadmill at the mirror who was most certainly checking him out and startled her with direct eye contact and a sly smirk.
"This may seem fair to get the guilty confess by hook or by crook, but know it well Jiminie, the company has to bear some loss very soon nonetheless."
"I know hyung..."
"So you need to focus on how to minimize that the most."
"How about a press conference?"
"What did Taehyung say about it?"
This guy, always equipped with the sharpest mind in a kilometre of his radius saw right through Jimin's motives.
"He said we should wait."
"And he's right."
"He said we are in a vulnerable position where media can twist our words for their own benifit, which they are already doing but let's not worsen it."
"You need to trust Taehyung and his instincts more, Jimin. He may be a hot headed himbo, but knows how to think straight in times of crisis."
A loud sneeze at the entrance of the gym revealed the said himbo and Jimin paled a little thinking about the task he had due regarding him. Heads turned, whispers arose and giggles erupted as usual as Taehyung walked with his bagpack towards them and when he dropped the weight beside Jimin and sat down with a sigh, Jimin rested his cheek on the fist to wait for Taehyung to explain what happened at the first hearing of their case today.
Taehyung only let out a dramatic sigh.
"How did it go..." Namjoon commented.
"Both parties presented their issues and... evidence. Hey, is it possible to fake allergic rashes?"
"Did you see them with your eyes?"
"They showed the medical report. A few doctors who made the diagnosis were also present. Seemed genuine."
"What did senior Lim say?"
"He said that his son won't hesitate to stoop as low as faking evidence if he gets paid thick."
