The Villa dining table bustled with laughs and inaudible chatter, a multitude of side's and main dishes spread across the expanse of it. It's full with not only the members but a couple of staff members as well; they're wholly welcome and you were grateful for the generous amount of food that they picked up under a collective request. You're seated in between Jongho and San, which, unbeknownst to you, were persistent on sitting next to you due to a pitch from a very concerned Yeosang. The man had little to no problem when convincing Jongho, but San was another story.
"Wae? Sit next to Rhea, why?" He mumbles into his pillow, still half asleep as Jongho and Yeosang stand close with faces that reflect an emotion of pleading- and patience.
"Cause I don't think she should be around Mingi at the moment..." Yeosang's voice faltered a little bit as his eye momentarily shut. He was stuck in a grimace, thanks to the unwavering guilt bubbling in the pit of his stomach. It felt wrong for him to only say Mingi but he wasn't oblivious.
There's a beat of silence until San spoke with question evident in his voice.
"They're still fighting?"
"No," Yeosang answered, keeping it short.Jongho looked between the two with an apprehensive expression. The man didn't know if it was as serious as his fellow member was making it seem but it calmed him a little bit to hear that you and Mingi were no longer fighting. However, that meant there was a new sprout of tension forming between the two.
"Ah... Fine."
But, it seems that you didn't have anything to say. Jongho had watched you more than he watched the television playing a rugby match, and that was out of character for him. He was worried for you, to say the least. Even prior to coming down to dinner, he managed to catch Mingi before he headed down, grabbing his arm and telling him that he wanted to ask him something. They'd spoken in one of the bedrooms but nothing much was said. Mingi insisted that he was getting along with both Rhea and Seonghwa with no trouble and that the past was in the past. Even when Jongho said that he was given a vague mention of a snow globe, Mingi shrugged.
"It was an accident."
But now as he stared at the barely visible pout on your face, Jongho began to think that maybe Mingi wasn't telling the truth after all.
"Rhea," he gently called your name with regard for everyone else talking and eating around the table. Jongho didn't want to bring unwanted attention towards you because he knew how stressed you could get. He was like that too.
The voice stops you from poking at your Tteok-bokki. It looks as if a light was flicked on from behind your empty eyes, a small shake of your head showing him that you were stuck in your mind and letting time pass. Now, the chatter and laughter around the table comes to your ears, bringing you back to the dinner and out of the storm. You say nothing, turning to him with a small yet sad smile. There's a small tilt of the head to signify an attempt of humor.
He briefly reflects the soft look before nudging your elbow with his own.
"Not gonna eat?"
A breath escaped your nostrils. The question made you shrug, your wrist rising to poke at your food once again. The appeal of food or anything else was at a zero at the moment. It's been one day since the accident and you've kept your interactions with Mingi and Wooyoung very brief. You know that Mingi could be a little aloof at times but you also knew that Wooyoung knew you better than anyone else. Even with that knowledge, Wooyung never confronted you. The only sign of him apologizing was the fruit basket and sub-sandwich that he got up extra early to buy for you. It was a sweet gesture that made you feel a little bit better. They didn't know how much it meant and it wasn't their job to make you feel better. But it would have been nice to receive anything from Mingi.
