Chapter 17-Meeting the Masters (Pt.3)

Mina: So before we go meet up with Abrukar, lets do a time check. Aria: Hmm, we have a little under 20 minutes left. Soohyun: Oh then we should definitely move through the others quickly. 

Soohyun: Hello there. Abrukar: Oh, hello. Apologies I didn't see you there. Mina: Oh no its okay. Aria: How are you after your fight? Abrukar? Oh, I'm alright now thank you for asking. It was painful but I'm still here. Haise: What's that weapon you're using? Abrukar: Oh this? This is my halberd. I've always been into staffs as a kid and my father as well. This custom made halberd was one of the last things gave me before he passed. All: Oh no.. Abrukar: Oh no its quite alright. He was a great man and definitely left his mark in this world. I carry this halberd to keep his legacy alive as much as I can. Aria: Aww that's sweet. Abrukar: Haha I try to be. Is there anything I can help you guys with? Shouta: Oh no thank you we just wanted to meet and chat with you. Abrukar: Oh, well then I'm honored. Thank you. Are you guys looking to join the league? Haise: Yes we are. Abrukar: Well registration starts soon so definitely prepare yourselves. Haise: Yea this November. Its getting closer everyday. Abrukar: You have a little over a month so get training and studying. Shouta: We will thank you. Abrukar: Hey when you guys go talk to Xiang be careful he has some social anxiety and gets really scared around people. Haise: Oh okay we will thank you for the heads up. 

Aria: Hi there.. Xiang: AAH! O-oh s sorry I didn't see you there. Aria: Are you okay? Xiang: I-I'm fine sorry I I'm still getting used to talking to people. Haise: Its okay we can leave if you wish.. Xiang: No no its okay I promise. So did you guys uhm like the fight? Mina: We loved it! Soohyun: Your bow skills are amazing! Xiang: O oh you saw that haha. Shouta: We did and it was great. Xiang: Well to be honest I never thought I was strong enough on my own so I started getting into archery before I thought about joining the league. And what do you know they said to be one day and said "Hey Xiang, you're the new Lightning master" Not going to lie I almost didn't believe it haha. Ren the previous lightning master had passed away. Not much of todays masters know about him but I heard he was exceptionally strong. I honestly don't feel very deserving standing in his very role but I'm going to do my best to live up to him. Aria: Woah.. That's a really good backstory for why you do what you do. Haise: Xiang after what we just witnessed you are more than deserving of this role. Xiang: R-really? Mina: Of course! You're the master for a reason. They chose you Xiang. And for a very good reason. Xiang: Thank you..Th-that means a lot to me. I think this was a good first showcase. I really enjoyed it and I think I learned the most from you all. Well out of the only 3 groups that even came up to me you guys are honestly my favorite.      M-May I know you're names? Haise: I'm Haise, this is Aria, that's Mina, Soohyun and Shouta. Xiang: Thank you. I want to remember you. You guys honestly made me feel so much better about all of this. Aria: Hey, we're here for you. Xiang: Thank you so much, really. Shouta: I have a quick question before we go. Xiang: Yes? Please. Ask anything, I owe you guys. Shouta: Are there more than just the elemental masters? Xiang: Yes there is. All the powers are supposed to have a Master over them. I heard a couple of the rarest ones don't because there is honestly like less than 5 people that have them in like the whole world so there really is no need. They don't need to be supervised when there aren't enough others with the same power. There is a few that do though. They just don't come to the league. There isn't any demand for their powers to be shown. Especially when some people don't even know about the super powers. Shouta: That makes a lot more sense now thank you. Xiang: No proble- Announcements: Attention all VIP customers the battlefield is now closing. Please make your way off the field at this time. Xiang: Please..take care. Make it in the league. I believe in you all. Aria: Don't worry. We will. (Xiang waves them off and smiles)
