Mina: And we're back to normal! Haise: Back at home with just under a month until registration for the qualification exam. Aria: We're so close to what we've been waiting for. Shouta: I need to make my last chance truly count this time. Soohyun: So Shouta, what exactly caused you to fail your previous exam? Shouta: Well, within the entire exam it is split into 2 stages. The written exam and the physical one. I had to get a score of 27/30 to pass my written stage. I ended up with a 25/30 and they considered it a fail. Aria: Oh wow.. Haise: They must be incredibly strict on this exam. No more than 3 wrong seems pretty difficult to achieve. But then again ours could change. Shouta: They are very strict, and if the written one is that strict I can't even imagine what the physical will be. Haise: We need to be prepared for anything. Soohyun: We've trained tremendously. Should we take today to get used to being back and perhaps continue normal training tomorrow? Aria: Yea that seems like a good idea but we need to study as well tomorrow so we can clear the written portion. Haise: I agree, balancing our time could prove to be very helpful if we use it well. Mina: So if we aren't training today, then what are we going to do? Soohyun: Hmm, well we are this close to exams and we really don't know that much about each other. Maybe we should get to know each other more. Aria: Oh, so like on more personal levels rather than just training buddies. Soohyun: Exactly. Shouta: So, you pretty much know about me and Ari. We are siblings. I am 16 and 1/2 and Ari just turned 15. Uhm we don't really have any good stories except one time at my 12th birthday party, Ari pushed me into a pool and I said a curse word in front of our mom for the first time haha. Aria: Oh I remember that haha she was so mad at you. Shouta: She was haha. We never had contact with our dad so we don't have much about him. Aria: Yea. Uhm Haise what about you? What was your childhood like? Haise: M-Me? Aria: Yea lets hear more about you. Haise: Uhm uh okay. *sighs* Okay uhm, my story isn't well, very heartwarming I'll say.. So you remember I told you about my little brother before right? All: Mmhm *nods* Haise: Well, He is only my half brother. He is the son of my mom and the guy my mom was dating recently before they broke up. But.. I did have a biological little brother. Uhm my mom and our dad didn't work out either so they had broken up before this after he found out she was pregnant for the second time. A-Anyways uhm so me and him would stay at our aunt's house every other weekend to spend time with her. Well one night while we were sleeping over there.. and a car ended up hitting a pole that held electrical lines. Our aunt's house was sort of secluded and it was the closest house to the line. Her house was always cold so we constantly had the heat running so we wouldn't be cold. I was 9 at the time and Nagisa my little brother was 5. The car hit the pole and the electrical lines were sparking from the impact. It impacted the electricity going to our house and had caught our electric heater on fire. We were all asleep at the time and had no idea until we woke up from the fire alarm. I grabbed my things and followed my aunt down the stairs and out the door...assuming Nagisa was following us because we heard him awake. We just yelled to follow us..and assumed he listened. (Haise begins to tear up) W-We got outside and called the fire department. The house was ablaze at that point. We looked around us attempting to find Nagisa.. a-and we couldn't find him. I screamed up at the top story to his room for him to pull the latch and open the window. He did and his head poked out. I-I yelled at him to jump and that I would catch him.. Eventually my aunt hung up the fire department and helped me attempt to persuade him. I was prepared to do anything to make sure he wouldn't miss the jump. H-He was so young though a and he was terrified. H he was crying out of pure fear and it j just tore me apart to watch. S so I kept being calm and told him I promised I would catch him.. b but he didn't listen.. He retracted his head inside the window a and I just sobbed and we kept screaming for him to just jump. By the time the fire department got there they got him out a and his right arm was just charcoaled black..(Through sobs)Th-The fireman laid him down on the ground. H he then examined him. Then he lifted his head up to us a and said.."I'm sorry..there's no pulse..The boy didn't make it..." I I just fell to the ground I I cried, screamed, cursed at the world, I couldn't get it through my head that my best friend, m my brother h he was gone. I regret it to this day on why I didn't just go in there myself to get him.. Mina: Haise you would've never made it out of there if it was already to his room. Aria: It wasn't your fault. Don't blame yourself. Haise: ..I guess anyways l-lets do someone else now.
