One True Love

Chapter 12

I need to find Tyler.

I put down the letter, find my car keys and slip on some shoes. I drive to Tyler's house.

*knock knock* 

X: It's open!

I walk in to find Tyler on the couch watching Tv.

"Connor!" Tyler gets up abruptly. "Wh-what are you doing here?"

Connor: I read the letter.

Tyler starts to slowly walk towards Connor not sure whats going to happen next. Tyler: And?

Connor: I forgive you.
Tyler: Really?!?!?
Tyler's face lights up.
Connor: I think we need to talk first.
Tyler: Umm, ok. Have a seat on the couch, do you want anything to like drink or eat?
Connor: No thank you.
Tyler Makes his ways back to the couch. They begin their "talk".

Connor: Ok, so I think we need to address some things before we jump to any conclusions, so we are both on the same page.

Tyler: Ok, I will be 100% honest with you.

Connor: So, we've been friends for a while now and as friends we've been through a lot together. My question is how is what we potentially have any different from something like a close friendship?

Tyler: Connor, I believe that what we have is more than a friendship because when I look at you, I see a person with courage, confidence, the kind of person who would do anything for somebody else, even if he barely knew them. I see a person who isn't afraid to try something new and who isn't afraid to speak their mind. He may not be the strongest or the wealthiest but he is the nicest, most generous person that I know. He has a personality like no other. He's perfect. That's how I know this is more than a friendship.

Connor: Wow Tyler, I had no idea you felt that way about me.
Connor hugs Tyler. Tyler hugs him back.
Connor: I'm still not 100% sure if us being together is the right thing to do or not but I believe that we have something special, whether it be relationship wise or not. I think we should test it out, and go from there.
Tyler: Alright, I completely understand. So how do you propose we test this out, as you would say?
Connor: Well, I'm free tomorrow night. Dinner maybe?
Tyler: Alright. Dinner it is. I'll pick you up at 8?
Tyler smiles.
Connor: Sounds good. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then.
Connor gets up to leave. Tyler says something before Connor leaves.
Tyler: Connor, thank you. For being so forgiving, it means a lot.
Connor: No problem, everybody deserves a second chance. Thanks for the talk. Bye.

With that, Connor leaves Tyler's house.
