The Exchange Student

Evangeline

                    It was the second day of school and I struggled to get up already. I had to wake up at 5am since today we would be having an assembly and all the cheerleaders needed to be in uniform which was just great. My mother helped me do my hair as doing high ponytails was a struggle for me. As I was getting ready I asked my mother for advice on how to ask a boy for their socials, she asked who I was planning to ask and I told her everything and she said "Evangeline if you really want a chance with this man you have to be yourself and just ask him."

                   I finally finished getting ready and headed downstairs for breakfast where I saw my brother already eating "well someone is in a good mood today" he said I hit his arm and said "mom gave me advice on asking Adrien for his instagram" he laughed and we continued to eat. After we finish we go brush our teeths and head to school. My brother went to the same school as me except he was a senior so he had some classes with my best friend Noah.

               I went to my first two periods and then it was time for the assembly which I got to leave class early to get ready. As I was walking to the gym where the assembly I see Valetin my brother he walks up to me and says "you wont believe it" I look at him confused and that's when he says "Adrien is on the soccer team with me he's in my gym class and he was telling me how he's excited for soccer" . As Valetin tells me that I look at him in shock but then I asked why was it that I saw Adrien yesterday is their practices start today Valetin said "He told us he was doing some practices with his exchange dad" I say oh and tell him that I have to go because of something new the school was doing this year for the first assembly.

            As were getting ready to go into the Assembly the cheer teacher and soccer coach approach us and say "this year we will be having the soccer team boys walk in with a few girls from cheer" as I heard that come out from the coach I look up to see that the soccer boys are with us I look at Valetin in confusion to see that Adrien is next to him I try my best to not stare and in that I hear the soccer coach say "Adrien and Evangeline you will walkout together" . I look up at Valetin and I see him mouth "ooo lala"

       Adrien walks up to me and presents himself. His english was a bit off and it was a bit difficult to understand him because of his accent but I won't judge him, that's exactly how I probably sounded when I came from France. I smile at him and say "nice to meet you Adrien I'm Evangeline" we start having a small talk before heading out I realized he was so kind and shy at first. I asked where he was from and he told me all about how he was an exchange student from Italy. He seemed to miss Italy he looked some way when talking about his life over there. I told him it was normal to miss a place as I told him that I was from France. Talking to Adrien made the rest of my Day.

      Esme got paired up with my brother but before Valetin made his way to Esme he came up to me and Adrien and told Adrien "looks like you've met my sister and got paired up with her be careful she bites" I look at Valetin and slap his arm as I see Adrien laugh at that comment "don't listen to him he doesn't know what he saying he's a bit crazy." Adrien just chuckles and smiles after. There was something about his smile that made me smile when I saw it. He had dimples and just looked perfect in my eyes. It was finally time to walk out to start the assembly I was a bit nervous and I could tell Adrien was too I looked at him "hey we got this okay it prepares you for your soccer game on friday haha don't think about it too much okay" he just smiled and nodded.
