The Exchange Student

      When I got home my host parents asked how my first soccer practice went. I told them how the coach was impressed by my skills already and asked me to help some boys out. I ended up mentioning how I would be asking a girl out for homecoming so if it was okay that I invited a friend over to help me work on the poster they said it was completely fine and asked who the girl was. I told them all about Evangeline. They seemed to like her but I reminded them how I came here to study and not focus on a relationship.

       As I'm in my room I'm texting Valetin to come over tomorrow and help me make the poster he said he would come and help me out. I was pretty nervous to ask Evangeline, especially at the game Evangeline and I seem'd to be getting close. She was an amazing friend so far. I'm on the phone with Valetin when I see Evangeline posted the 0.5x picture we took as I'm reposting her story Valetin asks if I saw it I say say yes but you can tell I say it with a smile so he goes ahead and says "are you smiling do you have a thing for my sister" I chuckled and told him to shut up and I didn't have a thing for Evangeline.

     I hang up on Valetin and start getting ready for bed and that's when my host mom comes in she sits on the bed while she waits for me to finish brushing my teeth. I sit next to her and that's when she goes ahead and says "do you like Evangeline or just as friends" the question gets to me because I don't know if I do like her in that way, before responding it takes me a minute to think of what to say and that's when I open my mouth and say "she's a kind girl and I'm confused on my feelings towards her at the moment I see her as a friend because at the same time I don't want a relationship knowing I won't be here next year." We do some more talking on the situationship then my host dad joins the conversation so we all talk for about an hour. It felt good talking to my host parents back in Italy. My parents and I never talked like I did with my host parents. I lay down in bed and I'm texting both Evangeline and Valetin but I say goodnight to both and head to bed because tomorrow would be a long day

     I woke up to a message from Valetin saying this morning I'd ride with Evangeline and him. It felt nice having friends like them. I get ready for school and eat breakfast calmly because I wouldn't have to worry about leaving my house early today. As I finished everything I had to do I got a text from Valetin saying they were outside my house. I get my bag and head out to the car Evangeline greets me with a good morning. We both sit in the back seat and talk while Valetin is driving. We made it to school and Valetin and I went different ways to talk about other plans we had. Evangeline wanted to hangout with us but her friend Esme took her away because Valetin told her about our plan and to distract her from coming around all day today even after school.

     Today at lunch I spent it with Evangeline because Valetin went to go get the supplies we were gonna need for the poster board. Somehow Evangeline and I ended up matching outfits so we took so many pictures because we needed them for memories but at the same time I was gonna add those pictures to the poster board along with the ones from the assembly and when we were in the car and her house.

    After lunch I go along with my day and I finally have my class I have with Valetin so we kinda plan out the board a bit but then we realized we needed to print out the photos after school and that we would need more supplies. I was starting to get nervous because the game was tomorrow and I didn't know how to feel. This was my first time ever asking someone to homecoming. I didn't even expect to do this.
