He was back. Li Ming was back.

He sat up on the bed, frantically looking around. Was he really back in 2028? Was he really here? He was in Heart's bed a second ago. His clothes still smelled like Heart, he could almost feel him between his arms, how could he be back? What was going on?

He darted out of his bed and found his pants on the floor, where he left them when he came home drunk that night, and started searching its dusty pockets for his phone. He did find the phone there, but it was off. He quickly found his charger on the nightstand and connected it to his phone. He tapped his foot on the floor impatiently as he waited for the zero to turn one.

He didn't solve anything. He couldn't. He couldn't stop Heart from dating people, he only made him confused and scared actually. And most importantly, New Year's Eve wasn't even near. The note said he had to stop Heart from confessing his love on New Year's Eve, and it was only November. Then why was he already back in his time? Nothing made sense.

Li Ming wasn't happy to be back. He couldn't be happy! Something, a feeling, was gnawing inside of him. Something wasn't right. He didn't think he was out of the trap yet. Not yet.

He closed his eyes and thought hard. There was a part in the book that talked about the curse renewing itself on the new moon. But that part was impossible to understand, Li Ming wasn't even sure if it was written in Thai or not. It did talk about some kind of a 'visit'. Was it about visiting your own time? Fuck, he should've carried the damn thing on himself so he could check it if anything weird happened like this. He was a time traveler, he had to be ready for anything.

Wow. Time traveler, huh?

When he looked back at his phone again, it was at three percent. He quickly pressed the button and turned it on. And as soon as the main screen was on, notifications started raining down. E-mails after e-mails, a few SMS' from the city, hundreds of notifications from YouTube and Line. He cleaned everything and went through everything one by one.

Firstly, he was really back. It was 2028 again. But the bad news was, he was gone for a month. It was the 10th of November now.

His friends tried to reach him, they called a few times and messaged him from Line. Thankfully they weren't worried about his well-being and didn't go to the police after not getting a response from Li Ming. They just thought he was ignoring them like he sometimes did. They still sent him some funny videos from time to time though.

His boss sent him a few e-mails regarding the place they wanted to rent and was getting a little irritated for not getting any answers from Li Ming but those weren't too old. Li Ming still had a chance to save face. The situation wasn't too bad.

There wasn't anything from his family. They still didn't know Li Ming was back from America, and they were, for sure, going to be angry at him for not telling them sooner. But it wasn't like he could reach them from 2026. He had his reasons. He was trying to save himself from a whole curse! He was going to make up to them after coming back.

After cleaning and checking everything on his phone, Li Ming called Golf. He needed some answers.

Golf answered after two rings. "Look who is finally calling! Are you even alive?"

"Sorry, man. I was really busy."

"Where were you? We came to your place but nobody answered the door."

"Yeah, I was visiting Pattaya and forgot my phone at home." Li Ming had no idea when he turned into such a good liar.

"Ah, that's why," Golf said from the other side of the phone. Well, he was always so easy to trick, even if Li Ming wasn't aiming to get the 'Best Liar of the Year' award.
