Li Ming was not going back. This was his final decision.

He was okay with living the next two years all over again and hoping the next Li Ming, the one in America right now, would choose to stay with his Heart too. If he stayed in 2026, Li Ming could just take his place and live as him after 2028. If not, he was still okay with living as a shadow. There was no way he could choose to go back to his time at this point. He was stuck here willingly.

He remembered how serious the old guy at the harbor had been. He had warned Li Ming, he had literally begged Li Ming to solve his curse and go back to his time, but he didn't know Li Ming. He didn't know how reckless and fearless Li Ming could be. He didn't know how it was so easy to start anew for him.

After all, he had been a young boy when he left to live in a whole different country. A country that had a totally different culture and a totally different language. A country that was thousands of kilometers away from home.

Li Ming hadn't hesitated for a second after he decided to leave for America. And it was the same case now, he had no doubt in his mind that he could make it work.

Everything was going to be fine. He was going to be fine.

Also, living forever? He could manage that. Even if he could spend one happy year with Heart, it would still be enough for Li Ming. He was willing to live that lonesome life the old guy was talking about if he got to fill his days with Heart's love for a while, just for a little while.

He was in the arms of the said boy, in bed, wide awake in the middle of the night. He inhaled Heart's intoxicating scent deeply and pushed his head even deeper into his embrace, putting a kiss on the warm skin of Heart's throat.

Heart didn't wake up but murmured something in his sleep, tightening his hold around Li Ming even more.

Li Ming's face broke out into a smile, fondness spreading from every part of his body. The moments like this, these little touches and these little details... They were all priceless in his heart. Nothing could ever compare to them. No happiness could ever come close to them. Li Ming already wasted five years of his life by living away from Heart, living away from this pure bliss. He wasn't going to give up on any of it any longer.

How could he turn his back to this bottomless happiness? How could he say no?

Maybe this was life giving Li Ming another chance. Maybe this was a gift from the heavens so that he could get back the years he spent apart from Heart. Maybe Pan had done a good thing without knowing.

Either way, Li Ming was not going to waste this opportunity. He was not going to go back.

Now because he was suddenly awake, his mind started to wander back to the day Jintana was here last week.

After having their heavy conversation and convincing her that Li Ming was not going to hurt Heart ever again, Jintana was feeling so much better. She cooked for them and they had a great dinner.

"When are you going back to America?" she asked Li Ming, after sipping from her coke. They were in the middle of the meal.

Li Ming looked at her and then Heart. Yeah, that was probably when he knew he wasn't going to leave, ever. "Not anytime soon," he answered.

"So you are going to stay in Thailand from now on?" she asked. It wasn't very clear if the glint in her eyes was because of relief or horror.

Li Ming was going to answer her but Heart suddenly jumped into the conversation. "No," he said. "He is going to go back."

Jintana leaned back on her chair. "Are you forcing him to go back because you want to move to America too?" she asked in disbelief.

"No, I'm forcing him because he can't stay here when he has a different life in America. He doesn't belong here, mom."
