*three weeks later*

Alex POV

Today is the day where I will tell Cristiano that I'm ready. Ready to go public.

I texted him Hey you busy?

I logged into my computer and signed into Skype. The team and I agreed to Skype today around eleven am my time. I clicked on the USWNT icon and it began connecting.
I first saw Meghan's, Rapinoe, face up to the camera really close. "I think it's working. I can't see anything." She said

"Yeah I'm here Meghan." I laughed

Her face pulled away with an oh. "Hi guys!" I said waving

"Wow long time no see!" Sydney said

"I know! It's been crazy. How is it over there?" I asked

"Boring."
"Crazy."
"Wonderful."
"USA like."

All the responses came at once. Well okay.

"Wow, mixed emotions yeah?" I laughed "It's boring because I'm not there."

I saw Benzema sitting with them "Hey Benzema! Hope they aren't torturing you too much."

He shrugged "They are pretty bad." And that answer got him a few smacks on the arm. "See what I mean?"

"What about you Alex? You and loverboy going strong?" Hope asked

I rolled my eyes "Shutup. We are fine."

"We need a couples name for them like, Aristiano." Meghan Kling said, or tried to.

"That sounds awful." Abby interjected "Cralex! Now that's a good one."

"Okay stop. That's weird." I said putting a hand up.

My phone buzzed,
Nope not busy, what's up?

I thought of what to say. Should I do this over text? No probably not. But... that would be easier.

I was just going to see if we could talk, I think I'm ready to go public. I think it's time.

"Yeah I agree. Cralex it is." Abby said nodding

Were we still on this??

"No. No couple names. That's so cheesy." I said grimacing

"It's only cheesy if you make it cheesy." Carly said

Really? You're sure? Cristiano texted back

Was I? I mean going public would mean press. Interviews with questions about our relationship. Was I really ready for that?

I had to be.

Positive I replied

"Hello Alex? Snap out of lovebirds land. Did you hear what she just said?"

I shook my head "Sorry. What?"

"Groups for the world cup come out next month." Abby told me

"That's good! That's been driving me nuts."

"I know. I have a good feeling about this year. I think we can do it," Abby commented "I think this'll be my last." She said the last part quietly.

"What?!" I demanded

What does she mean her last?

"I'm saying that this could be my last world cup. I'm getting old you know?" She said trying to lighten the mood
