Alex POV

I woke up with a start, nightmare. My clock read 1:23 I groaned and rolled over trying to get more sleep.

After a few minutes of pretending to be asleep I grabbed my phone from my night stand.

A billion instagram notifications, couple emails, two missed calls, and ten messages.

I clicked instagram first, it was all likes and comments on my picture of James. I ignored the emails, not worried. I checked the calls, one from James and one from the team. All the messages were from James.

James: Alex how'd it go?
Alex?

Are you two back to being adorable?
Alex?

And that was all. I forgot to text him after Cristiano left. He's going to be so pissed. Looked like he already was actually.

I went back to instagram and scrolled through some comments.

I plugged my phone back in and curled up and tried to sleep again. I flipped to my other side to see if it'd make me any more tired.

It didn't.

Why can't I sleep?!

I snatched my phone again and I started dialing.

It rang many times before he finally picked up.

"Alex? Is everything okay?" Cristiano said half awake sounding like a zombie.

"I can't sleep." I mumbled "I didn't know what to do. And you're smart. I figured you could help me."

I heard shuffling on the other end "You're okay though? You want to come over?" He asked sounding more awake. "We can watch movies till you get tired?"

"I'm okay... Are you sure? I'm sorry I woke you up... You're the first person I thought of to call." I said hesitantly

We only just got back together, I didn't want to rush anything but his voice soothes me. I can't help that.
