I've decided that concussions are the worst and never will I ever head the ball again. And I am telling Abby the same thing right now.

"I'm surprised you're even on your phone." Abby said

"Well Cristiano went to go get Junior and dinner. He said to only use it for emergencies. And I consider my ultimate boredom an emergency." I said matter of factly

I heard her chuckle. "He's pretty protective huh?"

"Just a smidge." I sighed

I heard a car door slam. "Crap he's home! Okay I got to go! Bye love you you're the bomb dot com!" Then I hung up and put my phone on the kitchen table just as he left it.

I ran back to the couch and laid down and pretended to be enjoying watching my hands as they sat on my stomach doing nothing.

I heard the front door open. "Lex?"

"In the family room!" I called "Just like you left me." I mumbled

Junior ran in and hugged me. "I brought a board game!"

"That sounds fun but I'll have to ask my warden if I can play." I said sarcastically looking pointedly at Cristiano.

Cris narrowed his eyes and said "Excuse me for keeping your brain in tact."

"Are you saying my brain isn't in tact?" I said offended.

Cristiano shook his head and walked into the kitchen. Junior came and sat in my lap and told me about his school day.

"My teacher even gave me," He struggled to find the words. "a star! A gold star. For cleaning up."

"That's awesome!" I high fived him.

He got down and went to his backpack. "We are learning shapes."

He showed me his worksheets and his coloring pages. I helped him with his homework that as just matching shapes. Cristiano called us in for dinner fifteen minutes after.

We sat and ate before finishing up and heading into the family room to play "Heads Up". The object of the game was to guess what was on your forehead.

"Hm, okay you're an animal." Cris started wearing a celery headband. "You live in the jungle."

"You go ROAAAR!" Junior added

"Hmm a leopard?"

"No." Cris mused

"Okay... a tiger?"

"Yes!!" Junior laughed

Phew. Glad that's over, my head is pounding. But I can't tell Cris that.

He'd send me to bed. Because I'm seven years old.

It was Junior's turn now. "Okay bud, you are an object. You use it in school everyday."

"Paper?" He asked

I shook my head. "You can write with it!"

"Pencil!!" He yelled excitedly

I clapped and we moved onto Cris's turn.

"You are a food object. It is something I would eat." I told him

"Carrots?" He smiled

I scrunched my nose "Ew no. It's green. Has a crunch to it."

"Broccoli?" He asked raising a brow

I shook my head. "I like this daddy!" Junior laughed. "But you don't!"

"Celery!"

"You don't like celery?" I asked bewildered
