Alex POV

It turns out James had no intention on me backing out of the dinner. He came to my house an hour before to make sure I was getting dressed, I wasn't.

He stayed until I was downstairs in my nice black skinny jeans and a dark green tank with a white business jacket.

"No necklace?"he asked

I looked down and sighed "I wasn't planning on one."

"Go pick a necklace out." He commanded

I groaned and stomped upstairs and picked a simple statement necklace out. I stomped back downstairs for the effect and held my hands out. "Happy now?"

James nodded "Yup. Let's go."

We walked outside and I had my keys but James opened his passenger side door for me.

"I can drive myself." I said walking to my car

I was about to unlock my car when my keys were snatched from my hand. "James!" I whined

He went back inside my house and put my keys back inside.

Then he proceeded to grab my arm and force me into his car. James got into the drivers side and began driving.

"You are infuriating." I mumbled

James shrugged "I'm also incredibly awesome." He thought for a minute "I'm also incredibly adorable. So says my instagram followers."

We talked little to none the whole drive. When we arrived I was hesitant to get out.

"It's okay Alex. I'll sit next to you, you don't even have to talk to him." He said trying to coarse me out of the car.

"I won't be petty." I muttered getting out

I walked in my head held high, he's at fault, not me.

The team was already waiting for us at a large dining table at the back of the restaurant.

There were two seats next to each other at the end of the table. James held out the chair at the head of the table for me. "Thanks." I said

James sat beside me and grabbed menus from the center of the table.

"Mmm I love sushi." He said smiling handing me one

I looked over the menu before deciding I was just going to get the veggie sushi rolls.

A waitor came around and took drink orders. Since everyone knew what they wanted we ordered food also.

I looked around the table as the guys ordered. I met eyes with Cristiano who was at the other end of the table.

I averted my eyes and paid attention to the conversation Sergio was trying to have with me.

"...So yeah, the trip is always fun, and we all go. You'll enjoy it."

Enjoy what?

"I'm sorry what?" I said apologetically

He gave me a warm smile "We go on a trip at the break every year, the whole team. We decide on a location together and then go for half the break. It's a lot of fun."
